Prosecco Princess meets the Prosecco Queen
A lovely half day in the land of fizz! Oriana was wonderful… An ex rally driver, which was rather appropriate as we were in the area for a rally!
No BS just facts! If she couldn’t answer a question she knew someone who could!
I enjoyed the banter and came away feeling, slightly squiffy but educated in the ways of Prosecco.
Lovely tastings and tours!
An experience we will never forget
My husband and I were first-time travelers to the region and really wanted to explore the vineyards in Italy. After reading into the subject, we saw that it was best to hire a driver to tour the region. I am sure glad we did. Cris was a great driver with so much knowledge about the region and prosecco. He had great recommendations and this experience was one of the best parts about our trip to Italy. It was an easy process overall. I would highly recommend to anyone on the fence about hiring a driver. If you are traveling to the area, ask for Cris as your driver. We were even able to ship a few bottles home to help keep the memories alive. You won’t forget this experience.
Best decision was to hire a driver for this trip. Oriana was amazing!!! Knew the area and all the wineries we visited so well. Worth every penny.
Wonderful finale to our Venice visit
In December 2019, I surprised my wife for her 50th birthday with a trip to Venice. The final suprise was a Prosecco tasting tour on our last day. It was absolutely perfect. The weather was beautiful, the scenery was amazing and the Prosecco was, of course, delicious. I can only imagine what it must look like during the growing season!
Oriana picked us up at the train station and she was fabulous. She took us to 3 Prosecco wineries with a wonderful lunch stop in the middle. She was fun, interesting, and very knowledgeable. It was a perfect day and my wife was thrilled. I highly recommend both the tour and Oriana!
Only two bottles left of what we brought home. 🙁 How can I possibly drink the cheap stuff ever again?
My husband and I were visiting Italy for the first time and when he told me that he did some research and wanted to hire a driver to visit the Prosecco region, I was a little skeptical. Looking back now, I am so happy I trusted him and went with it. We reached out to Visit Prosecco for info and we quickly received a response from our soon to be driver, Oriana. She was professional and very friendly. She helped us by suggesting which train to take to meet her and she picked us up right on time. Oriana is from the prosecco region so is very knowledgeable about all things prosecco. She seemed very passionate about her region, her country and her job. She took us to 3 wineries, 2 that were her suggestion and 1 that we suggested. We booked for 4 hours. We had a great time with her! We visited in late January and it was beautiful. We can only imagine how much more beautiful it is in the fall! We highly recommend hiring a driver. It was the best option of all the options we considered. Go to Prosecco Hills! You won’t regret it. Enjoy! And thank you, Oriana!!!
Highlight of our Trip
What a wonderful experience!
We (my husband and I with our 2 teenagers and 10 year old) booked a day trip to the Prosecco hills with Oriana!
To start we missed our train but Oriana saved the day and was able to give us an alternative train station and we arrived just a little later than our original scheduled time! She is the sweetest person you will ever meet! It was truly our pleasure to spend the day with her. She is so knowledgable about the hills, the wine process and wineries. It was beautiful to see the pride she takes not only in her job but in her town and country.
We toured the hills on the 30th of December and many wineries were closed for the holidays but we were able to visit 3 spectacular wineries with delicious Prosecco. My husband and I can assure you that we have found a new appreciation for great Prosecco!! I can not say one bad thing about any of the wineries or their selection!
We decided to buy enough Prosecco to last a year… haha!
Being just in our first half of our vacation, Oriana arranged our boxes to be shipped to us here in the US. She took care of everything and we have been able to track our shipment without any issues.
She also took us to the famous “Prosecco vending machine” (that was on my bucket list) and to a wonderful family owned restaurant with best pasta!
Visiting wineries with children is not the most ideal situation, but sometimes its the only way to visit them if you are on a family vacation. It was so nice to feel welcomed with our children and for everyone to be so kind to them! Oriana and all the wonderful ladies at the wineries and the wonderful owners of the restaurant were just the kindest!
Thank you for making this possible through your blog and I highly recommend to everyone!
BOOK THIS TRIP!
This is one of the best things that I have ever done.
Last February we booked this trip as a myself and my three friends wanted to book a girly prosecco tasting trip.
Oriana was just fantastic! From helping us work out which train to get as we were coming from the centre of Venice for the day, to organising the tastings, driving us around, taking our pictures, showing us the sights, taking us for a beautiful lunch and taking us back to the station. She was amazing from start to finish and absolutely made this trip for us. We can’t thank her enough.
The vineyards we went to were stunning and we learnt so much from each one. Each vineyard was so different and it was fascinating to compare them.
We know that February is not the best time of year to visit the Prosecco region, it is not green as it would be in the summer and it is quiet but 100% we would visit at this time of year again. It was lovely having almost private tours around the vineyards as it was a quiet time of year, and it was still beautiful even though the vines weren’t green.
As I said above this is one of the best things I have ever done and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you Oriana for making one of the favourite days of my life. It would not have been the same without you.
What a wonderful day!!
We spent an incredible day exploring the Prosecco region with Oriana! She was kind and patiently explained the entire region to us, including all the wonderful sites we passed on the way. On such a clear day we were able to see so much. The wine was incredible and we were thrilled with the wineries we visited. This was one of the highlights of our two weeks in Italy, and I am so glad we did this. Worth every cent!!
Rainy day tour, but still beautiful and delicious!
While researching our trip to Italy for a friends wedding, we came across the blog post from Indiana Jo about the Prosecco region and knew we just had to visit. We checked around for a bit but decided to use Oriana, who was the driver and tour guide used in the blog. She helped coordinate the train from Venice, and we put ourselves in her hands as to which vineyards to visit (after looking at how many are in the small region, it was best to let a local pro decise!) Oriana was great, knowledgeable, funny and proud of where she comes from. The people we met, food we ate, and prosecco we tasted were all very good. We bought some for the rest of our trip and shipped some back home. Wonderful day if if rainy and would visit again for sure! Thank you for the great day Oriana and for helping is find this place.
Fantastic Prosecco Tasting Tour
Myself and my family took the Prosecco Tour at the Adami winery in December. We were driven by the wonderful Oriana who also arranged the whole tour even down to train times! She met us at the station and drove us to the winery giving us interesting facts about the area and Prosecco making all the way there. Our hostess was Juliana who was also fantastic and during the tasting of the 7 different Prosecco told us all about each one. The Prosecco itself is very good and we ended up purchasing quite a few bottles. On the way back Oriana had booked a restaurant for lunch which served local cuisine (bean soup, beef cheeks etc) which ended the tour perfectly.
I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about the Prosecco Hills and taste some quality Prosecco.
Grazie a Cristiano per una bellissima giornata! Spero ritornare pronto!
A Fabulous Tour
We had the most lovely tour in the heart of the region where prosecco is made. Our driver and guide Oriana was very good about communicating to us what to expect, where to arrive, and any potential travel delays. We took a regional commuter train from Treviso to Susegana to meet Oriana, which is very easy to do. She is from the region and was able to provide a lot of indepth knowledge of the villages/communes in the area. We went to two wineries and a restaurant during our 4-5 hr tour. The tastings were delcious and the wine makers do a wonderful job of explaining how their products are made and why they’re special. We ate lunch of local charcuterie at a restaurant on the hill of Cartizze.
We can’t wait to return to the area and stay in Conegliano or Valdobbiadene and tour again.
Absolutely brilliant day – thank you Oriana!!
Everything was fabulous – Oriana was a great host and was in constant touch and organised everything for us.
We had information on which train station to arrive at (we were staying in Treviso, not Venice) and she was there promptly to pick us up. We visited 3 small to medium sized Prosecco vineyards and were given the option of when and where we wanted lunch – Oriana recommended a fabulous local restaurant (we were also given the option of a lighter lunch if a restaurant was not what we wanted).
We ordered 2 cases of Prosecco from each vineyard (6 total). Oriana arranged the shipping and it all arrived safely in the UK.
Oriana gave us lots of information on the region and was more than happy to stop the car for us to take photographs too.
All in all a lovely day that we will never forget – we are now Prosecco experts lol.
Thank you Oriana!!!

Oriana was amazing!
Oriana made this experience so amazing. She has such a deep passion and knowledge for prosecco and the entire area on general. She was able to make the trip much more than going to a couple wineries and having tastings, to learning about the history and the pride of the area. The wineries were amazing and the staff at them were super friendly and knowledgeable.
Wonderful way to see the Prosecco Road.
We had the best day ever. Our driver picked us up at our hotel, took us to 3 different vineyards, and returned us to our hotel. Each vineyard was different in size, the tastings were wonderful, and the owners were willing to answer questions and spend time with us. There was no worry about where to go or which vineyard to visit, it was all taken care of for us. I highly recommend seeing the Prosecco area this way!!!
The Best of The Best
We have taken 2 tours with Cristiano. He has an incredible knowledge base. He is fun to be with but, most of all he will give you what want. We asked for a tour of a Grappa distillery. Most of the distilleries wanted a larger group. He took us to a small distillery where we learned the complexities of how excellent grappa is made.
We have taken 2 tours with Cristiano. We will take a third.
I can not express how beautiful this region is. The landscape is beyond words. We had the nicest driver (Lucca) who was fluent in English and knew the area very well. We visited two vineyards Col del Lupo and Marchiori both of which were phenomenal. Col del Lupo served pairing with the wine which enhanced the experience even further. We ate lunch at the most incredible restaurant at Locanda Marinelli and I would rate this as a Michelin in my books! Of course we did go to the vending machine to top off the perfect day. It was the most memorable tour we have had in Italy throughout several visits there over the years
Luca was AWESOME! My wife and I gave several vineyards we were interested in visiting, he was able to incorporate views, taste, size, and quality to 3 spots AND he suggested a place to stop by for Lunch, Candida Marinelli. Tour and the entire day was worth every cent.
5 star service.
Must do. Five star
I booked Luca for a tour to the Prosecco Hills and it was above and beyond our expectations Luca spoke English very well and he knew the region. Luca gave us several options for the itinerary and price of the day and from there he arranged everything for us from pick up close to our hotel, to visits to great wineries and a magnificent lunch. The restaurant was amazing. The owners served us dinner and were charming but also extremely accommodating to our sons severe allergies It was our first time in this region and it was the highlight of our trip. Our ages are 55, 53, 30, 27, 26 and 25. This tour was perfect for all of us. I would highly recommend Visit Prosecco Hills and Luca
Book this now!!
While visiting Italy, my best friend and I signed up for the private tour of Prosecco Road with driver Cris. We could not have asked for a more kind, fun, knowledgeable person or a better way to tour the area. I sent him a great detail of info about the type of experience that we were looking to have and the type of Prosecco producers that we wanted to visit, he absolutely nailed it! He made us reservations at each winery, and not only were they expecting us but we received private tours and tastings at each place. He made reservations at the most wonderful spot for lunch, which wasn’t where I had originally thought we wanted to go, but 10x better! Our day was absolutely wonderful and definitely a highlight of our Italy trip. I would highly recommend booking it, and if you are lucky enough to get Cris as your driver, know that you are in for a fantastic day!
Great day with Luca
I had a great day exploring the Prosecco region with Luca as my guide! We visited three very nice wineries and enjoyed the day. Luca was very professional and friendly, even gave me advice on the train to arrive there. I would definitely recommend a tour with him!
The best birthday ever…
I am so happy that we found the Visit Prosecco Italy website. Not only was it very informative, but it also gave us the opportunity to book our driver in the region. After we filtered through the information on the site, we decided to book a tour. Alessio was the perfect driver for the perfect day. He was flexible enough to meet us in Venice and drop us off in Vicenza at the end of the day for an additional fee. He chose two wineries for us, Borgoluce and Adami. He also booked a lunch at a local trattoria which was amazing. Both of the wineries were very knowledgeable and gave us a history and understanding of the region. We tasted five proseccos at the first location and seven at the second. I would highly recommend Alessio as your driver, and booking a tour through Visit Prosecco Italy. He was fabulous!
Incredible Local Knowledge
Wow – I can’t say enough good things about the experience with our driver, Alessio. He worked very hard to ensure that we had informative and enjoyable visits at many local wineries. Over two days, we visited 6 total wineries. From the beginning, Alessio communicated with us to understand what we were looking for (we wanted to visit wineries, next time we’ll visit sites!), what kind of winery experiences, and our time frame. He curated visits that exceeded expectations. In particular, when you visit wineries, you often hear about the prosecco wine making tradition, history of the area and many other pieces of information about the region and wine making. While we didn’t realize it until more than half way into our trip, he organized visits where the information session and tours all complemented each other one. While each visit had a tour and talk, the talks all seemed to cover different informational parts. It really was comprehensive (and what we were looking for).
The communication and payment process was easy and straightforward. While you might save a little money renting your own car and driving around yourself, I think that this service actually does offer tremendous value — you get local knowledge, admission into wineries that you might not ordinarily be able to book, get to dictate your travel plans (Alessio brought us to dinner late night and back to our hotel, stopped at a castle for us to check out and went to the vending machines near cartizze for no extra charge), and get a local who is proud of his home to show you around.
We would use this service again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making our trip to the Prosecco Region so memorable.
Luca was fantastic!
We took a day trip from Verona to Prosecco last minute, and Luca was ever so kind to arrange the whole thing the night before at 9pm. He even went above and beyond to help us book the right trains to get to where we needed. We spent four hours touring two different vineyards and made a stop at the vending machine. Luca was very informative and pleasant to spend the day with. Overall it was a 100 out of 10 experience and we can’t wait to go back for more next time!
My only regret was we didn’t have longer (we booked for 4 hours) but that had nothing to do with Luca and everything to do with us booking at the very last moment. I recommend at least 6 hours if you can swing it, even though I could have easily have spent the the entire day. Don’t hesitate to book a tour with Luca and enjoy your experience through Prosecco!
PHENOMENAL Tour — HIGHLY recommend!
My daughter and I did this fantastic tour in July 2019 — I think about it often and can’t wait to go back! Our tour guide Oriana was AWESOME! She truly is the “queen” of Prosecco tours as she knows the best locations and vineyards to visit. And we were the first tour after the region received the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site recognition – a very celebratory time indeed! We visited three family-run wineries and each was truly amazing. I think our favorite was the Marchiori tour — it was fun learning all about the Superior DOCG rankings and the wonderful Prosecco this family business produces. I have to give kudos to Oriana — she was thoughtful and conscientious every step of the way. We were picked up at the train station and she took us to several photo op sites that were additional to our tour. She even helped facilitate shipments (yes we bought several bottles at each location – what a treat for home)! LOVE this area of Italy — thanks Oriana!!!
Fantastic morning around Valdo with Luca
Absolutely superb morning around Valdo with Luca, visiting the Prosecco vending machine (a beautiful spot with great views, and a fun novelty), and a winery perfectly selected by Luca for our small group (the mother of our host even prepared a special bowl of pasta for our little girl!). Could not recommend a tour in this area (and Luca) more highly!!
Stumbled on this great blog…..and took it from there! Hired a driver that was recommended (Orianna and she’s WONDERFUL) and stayed at one of the places noted as well (Agriturismo Memento). If it was’t for our driver and our hosts we wouldn’t have had anywhere near as much fun and taste of the local “flavor” as we did! The driver was the key as everything was set up for us….all we had to do is drink prosecco, eat great food and take in the beautiful scenery! Thank you for this website! It made our trip planning much more enjoyable and stress free!
Do NOT skip this, easily the best day of our trip
I have been meaning to leave a review of our experience with Visit Prosecco since it was a huge highlight of our trip and such a relaxing day. I am going to go into tons of detail since I highly recommend doing a tour through this company and I am sure people are curious about how it actually goes!
My boyfriend and I were staying in Venice for 4 nights, so I wanted to hit a winery at some point during our long stay there. My research led me to the Prosecco Valley and specifically, this service. Do not do the Prosecco Valley any other way, this is a little pricier than some of the canned/commercialized tours that TripAdvisor or air BnB might offer, but it is absolutely well worth the money. We went in Mid-September and decided to go with the 6-hour tour, honestly, the 8 would have been great too but I am just so glad we didn’t do any less!
We took the train from Venice to Conegliano (less than an hour, 8 euro/person) to meet our driver Alessio. This is very easy so I suggest meeting your driver at least a little up North. I was contacted by Alessio beforehand about timing, and he was going to meet us at the train station. He was about 5 minutes late but very kindly let me know by text, no big. His car was spotless and had water, candy, wipes, etc. for us in the back. He let us know that he was not a tour guide per say, but would be bringing us to the vineyards. I had done a little research into some vineyards that looked neat, but he let me know that he had booked 3 tastings for us. This was perfect and I would honestly trust your driver! They have great relationships with the best vineyards, you can tell.
So some background, we went during mid-September which the website advised not to go during. We could not really go out into the vineyards to see the grapes and all that but were told that it was because this is their busiest season (i.e., machinery and workers everywhere, so sort of dangerous). I knew this beforehand and was afraid this would impact our trip, it did not in the SLIGHTEST. The coolest part of going during this time was that we had virtually PRIVATE tours/tastings at all 3 vineyards. We felt like royalty.
Our first vineyard was ~5 minutes from Conegliano and was called Collalto. There, we had a wonderful private tour guide bring us through their wine cellars and show us a ton of history about the winery. We then went to a beautiful tasting room where we had a classy set up of glasses, water and breadsticks (mind you, still just us, which was so cool). I forgot our tour guide’s name but he was so professional and attentive. We took it easy and stuck with just the tasting since it was 10 AM, but bought a bottle to go from there. Learned that we loved Proseccoo and also learned alot about the different types. This is considered a medium-sized winery and was a great first stop.
Our second and probably my personal favorite was our next winery, the family-run, and much smaller Gregoletto. Here, we were greeted by a much more casual younger girl whose family owned the vineyard. While this was more casual than our last, Amy was absolutely nothing short of articulate, talkative, and attentive. She brought us into the cellars too and then upstairs into a much smaller area but seriously equally beautiful tasting room. The view from the window was breathtaking. Amy fed us local snacks (cow cheese, homemade cookies, bread, salami.. we actually got full). Here we had the classic tasting and also bought extra glasses of wine. Amy was so sweet and funny, and once we figured out she was practically our age we got to talking for probably close to an hour about things other than wine. We also purchased a bottle of Prosecco here. This vineyard also makes its own beer!
We had originally planned to go to lunch after this (Allesio said he was going to bring us to a local Osteria) as opposed to a picnic type area with a view, but we had so many snacks at Gregoletto that we let Alessio know we weren’t really hungry anymore. He had no issue with our change of plan and said he could take us to a wonderful area where we could buy snacks if we wanted and sit and relax. We went to the area on a hill right above Col Vetorazol (about 35-40 minutes drive?). I can’t stress enough that this is a must-see. There is a little shed type house with wine openers, cups, cutlery, napkins, and food for sale based on an honor system (just leave money and take, no one actually working). There is even a book where you can sign and a ton of wine bottles hanging everywhere. There are picnic tables uphill with chairs and shade, with the most stunning view I think I saw in all of Italy. The vineyards sprawling out for miles, and mountains in the background. Me and my boyfriend brought our recently purchased bottle of prosecco and sat up here for over an hour in the shade. We were the only ones here, it was such a romantic spot to sit and relax. Alessio couldn’t have been more perfect, he showed us where everything was and then let us be alone and told us to take our time, and come back to the car when ready for the next tasting.
Our 3rd and last vineyard (our next tasting) was right at the bottom of the hill of where we just were. This vineyard was definitely the most stunning and modern, with floor to ceiling glass walls, a huge beautiful wooden bar, and a very modern look to it. Here, we sat in a large tasting table right near the bar. There were actually other people here at this one (a first for us all day, a family just drinking and relaxing). The other vineyards had a 3-wine tasting, here they offered us a 7-wine tasting so we shared each glass, we did not mind. After the tasting, we ordered a glass at the bar and also bought another bottle to bring home with us. We were conscious of time (It was about 3:15) but Alessio told us not to worry and to take our time. We left around 3:30 and got back to the train around 4:15 I think. Our tour was 6 hours, from 10-4.
In addition, we tipped Alessio what we felt he deserved (he did an amazing job so 20% of the cost) and he seemed so surprised! We could not imagine tipping less since he drove us around for 6 hours and was so fantastic, but I know in Italy the tipping is a bit different. We still felt obliged to tip well.
If you are on the fence about this, book it. It is great for couples and groups alike. It really blew away our expectations and it was so nice to get off of our feet and get out of Venice for a day of relaxation, drinking, and being waited on. Expertly planned, unique, and memorable experience.
An unbelievable day!
The tour is fantastic! Even with the excellent reviews I had seen online prior to booking, my expectations were more than met. My family and I toured 3 vineyards and the way the guide set up the tours, we learned something different at each winery. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone who loves prosecco and has a desire to learn about the growing, distribution and manufacturing process. The only thing I would change is the restaurant where we had lunch. It was very overpriced for a simple vegetarian pasta dish with only cheese and no vegetables at 15 Euros per person with nothing else included. At least it tasted good🤣!
What an experience
My sister and I went on a tour with Alessio last week. We booked 4 hours and I now wish we had booked more time. Alessio was very kind to come pick us up from a different stop when our train getting there had some issues. We visited two amazing wineries, learned so much about the region and DOCG and also went to the Prosecco vending machine! I can’t wait to go back and buy more wine! So grateful to Alessio for his knowledge in the area, picking the wineries, and driving us around in style!
Lovely, informative tour with a knowledgeable and friendly driver
Oriana was a lovely host for our tour. She was very knowledgeable and took us to two lovely wineries as well as a church and a corn mill. We had a great tour and wished we’d had more time. We would book with Oriana again and will recommend her to friends.
Visiting Prosecco region is a must!!!
Oriana was our driver, tour guide, and all around expert on the Prosecco region . We spent two wonderful days visiting wineries, and the towns in the Prosecco hills. Our experience was absolutely wonderful thanks to Oriana. After our two days we consider Oriana a friend!! A true highlight to our time in Italy.
The tour was amazing and very educational. Our guide, Luca, scheduled a perfect day that included three wineries and lunch. We truly loved the experience!
We loved the tour and had an amazing time!! Would definitely recommend Oriana and this experience.
Oriana is a marvelous ambassador for the region!
Oriana was a fantastic guide for our tour of the Prosecco region. Her passion for the wine, the region, for her country, and sharing it with us was obvious and contagious. She provided us with many interesting details as she drove us to two beautiful and unique wineries to sample and learn about Prosecco. I highly recommend this tour, and will recommend it to friends and family who visit the region in the future.
After finding the Visit Prosecco website and reading all about the tours, we decided a day visit from Venice was just what we wanted to do! The entire process was very simple – we emailed our request and Cris responded giving us the options available. The price is very reasonable – €300 for an air conditioned modern van that seats up to 8. We chose to have a 6 hour tour, visiting 1 winery in the morning, followed by a leisurely lunch and finishing with 1 more winery in the afternoon. Cris was fantastic – he emailed us the details of which train to take from Venice along with where to get off, at what time, and there he was waiting for us. He has a great knowledge of the local area, and is studying to be a sommelier. The wineries he chose were lovely family owned wineries, with very good wines at inexpensive prices. To save time while we were at the last winery he went to the train station to pick up our return tickets. I highly recommend Cris and Visit Prosecco. If you are interested in a great day out, just book! This is a lovely area to visit that is not over run by tourists.
A wonderful day.
A most enjoyable day! Cris organised to meet us at a location to suit our small group. He was flexible to ensure we made the most of our day with the weather in mind. Lunch suggestion was perfect, loved the food, Prosecco and hosts. Cris’s English and knowledge of the region was very good. His passion for the region was evident and he was very happy to do all he could for a great day. I would highly recommend Cris and this company!
Fantastic Trip, Fantastic Guide
Cris arranged a pickup and visits to three wineries. He was comfortable, knowledgable and cheerful. The three choices covered three different size wineries and somewhat different ideas. All were terrific.
Incidentally, I managed to miss the tip about pressing the aperta button on the train. Cris bailed me out by picking me up at the next stop. Mielle grazie.
Fantastic day of fizz
My husband, 8 month old son and I had a fantastic day exploring along the Prosecco road with Our driver Cris. He was knowledgeable, friendly, took the time to get to know us and planned our day trip accordingly. He booked the tours to the wineries we visited, arranged lunch in a fantastic restaurant off the beaten track and went above and beyond to help us make a dinner reservation that evening. We had such a great day and would highly recommend the tour and Cris as the guide. Thank you
Highlight of the trip
We loved our day with Cris. He was very knowledgeable of the area and helped us pick out wonderful wineries for sampling. Cris is such a joy to be around. We wished we could have stayed longer in the area as we only planned one day.
A fantastic Prosecco tour
Cris took my husband and I on an afternoon prosecco tour in May. We visited two vineyards and the infamous prosecco vending machine up in the hills. Cris is extremely knowledgeable about the area and the way prosecco is made. During our car journey, he chatted non-stop and booked us into two very different vineyards. Our tastings were excellent; we got a lot of attention and we tasted a variety of prosecco. The vending machine and owner of the house nearby was also a highlight as we were treated to fantastic hospitality.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cris as a prosecco region tour guide.
A memorable day exploring the hills of Presecco
We absolutely loved our experience with Cris. He took my partner and our family on a enjoyable and authentic day around the beautiful hills of Prosecco. It was the perfect combination of drinking / eating and learning about this unique and special area of the world.
Would love to have the chance to do it again.
Unforgettable bucket list trip!
Who isn’t obsessed with Prosecco. Those thousands of perfect bubbles of Italian goodness captured in a bottle, screaming celebration, culture, and with the label DOCG – the real McCoy. So naturally, when in Italy, the Prosecco Region was a must. I contacted Visit Prosecco Italy and they were incredible, seamless and Cris had us wondering why we had booked return tickets home.
Cris met my partner and I at the train station the morning of our tour, having previously emailed to me the best modes of transport to get there, timetables and how to buy tickets if Italian is not your string point, it was seamless.
We set off on a tailor-made tour (ours just happened to be us on the day though we were happy to have others join if there were other bookings) to three different wineries. Each winery was incredible. We had our own private tour around each of the cellars, learnt the history to each families’ masterworks dating back to 1600, tasted local (organic) apricots and cheese and of course sampled the glera tonda/lunda goods – Verdiso, Prosecco, Prosecco Superiore.
In between wineries, and likely so that we remembered the stunning scenery of Valdobbiadene rather than just the golden liquid, we stopped at an Osteria for lunch. Again, perfect. Authentic little restaurant (not a word of English) with fantastic cold cuts for lunch – bread, cheeses, ham, salami etc and of course, homemade Prosecco.
We also ventured to the Prosecco vending machine, genius idea, but yes definitely a tourist attraction (would love to install in my house). You can buy a bottle for around 10-20 euro and even cheese and crackers for your own little picnic. Plastic glasses provided.
Cris was absolutely brilliant. A local and very knowledgeable about each winery, the history of the region and answered all of our questions about supply and demand and the effect on production/sustainable farming with global warming. The Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site so its popularity and the number of tourists will inevitably only increase. Visit Prosecco Italy have this down pat, super helpful, very reasonably priced in comparison to other companies that depart from Venice etc, they personalise everything to your preferences and the best thing – you don’t feel like a tourist. The wineries welcomed us in like family, they were so proud (as they should be!) yet so humble. Best Prosecco you will ever have. 110% recommend Cris and this company, we can’t wait to get back! Thank you so much!
I would highly recommend using Cris !
Cris was very knowledgeable and informative during our ride to the Prosecco region and gave us a clear, concise history. He even surprised us with a visit to the Osteria Sensa Oste !
Wonder memories !
Cris is awesome…
Cris was amazing from the instant I reached out to him. He helped coordinate the logistics for me in getting there from Venice and took care of the tour arrangements with each vineyard. He even setup our lunch reservations with the restaurant we wanted for lunch. Cris is from the area he has a lot of knowledge of the vineyards and can answer a lot questions. I would definitely recommend Cris to anyone thinking about touring the Prosecco region. I know the next time I come back we will definitely reach out to Cris again.
Relax . . . Cris Has It All Under Control !
If you are hesitating at all booking a driver to visit the Prosecco region on line, rest assured you will not be disappointed in your experience with Cris. We had researched various trip advisors prior to our arrival in Italy and learned that hiring a driver would be the best option in order to fully enjoy the area. You can choose different lengths of time and the number of wineries you would like to visit. WHEN we visit the area again, we are hopeful that Cris is available to show us more of the area. We didn’t know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised as our day unfolded. Cris took care to listen to our desires for the day to make sure he met our expectations. We described where we would be traveling from (Venice) and that we wanted to stop for lunch prior to meeting. Cris suggested a wonderful stop in Treviso, which turned out to be ideal. Logistically, Cris was easy to contact and prompt in responding to all of our questions. His knowledge of the Prosecco area was extensive. The scheduled tours were perfect and the vehicle was roomy and clean with USB ports to charge our phones and water in a cooler at our disposal. Two thumbs up! Cris. Come visit us in Colorado Cris, best to your family.

Do not miss this!
Do not miss this tour with Cris!! He is amazing. After spending the day with him and exploring the beautiful Prosecco area, my husband and I are ready to pack our bags and move. This was the best day of our two week trip to Italy. Thank you Cris. We will be back.
An Amazing experience. Highly recommend
Wow! Just wow! You need to experience it yourself to really understand!
we had an amazing time. Alessio was our driver, he was very friendly and also very informative about the area, picked 3 wineries for us as well as bringing us for a delicious lunch and stopping at the prosecco vending machine.
The prosseco tasting was great. The area itself is breath taking. A unique experience and also got to buy some unique Prosecco.
Experience of a Lifetime!
Our tour was amazing! Our tour guide, Cris was great – very knowledgeable about the region and the selected wineries. Our private tour began mid-morning. Cris picked us up from our hotel and off we went for a full day of visiting beautiful, family-owned wineries. We learned the history of the region and about the DOC/DOCG, which determines the quality of the Prosecco.
I highly recommend a trip to the Valdobbiadene region of Italy, where you will find some of the most picturesque views of the country, and taste the most delicious varieties of Prosecco. We purchased bottles at every winery and had the bottles shipped home, to the states – where they’ve arrived just in time to be enjoyed at family celebrations and the upcoming holidays!
Cris, thank you very much for an amazing day. A true experience of a lifetime!
Perfect ending to the trip of a lifetime
Cris was amazing at showing us around the Prosecco region – it was such a beautiful day and he did a great job educating us as well as entertaining us.
Thank you Cris!
Definitely choose Cris as your driver to the Prosecco Valley!
Cris was an awesome and informative driver ! He made my 30th birthday to the prosecco valley very memorable and I would highly recommend him if you’re visiting the area.
My group of 3 traveled throughout Europe for 3 weeks and this was our favorite day of the trip. Cris went out of his way to make every bit of the activity easy for us. He instructing us on what trains/times to take and picked us up/dropped us from each train station. He was incredibly accommodating and responded quickly as well. Not only did we learn so much from a true local, but we also enjoyed his company greatly. I would recommend this experience to anyone who asked and would love to take friends/family on this tour again!
Amazing wine tour, amazing guide
We had a great day of tasting with Chris! Chris was a wonderful guide and chose some great wineries for our visit. Thank you Chris! Would highly recommend.
Cris was a wonderful guide!
We had a great time roaming the prosecco hills with Cris! He communicated with the wineries ahead of time and everything was set up beautifully. The prosecco was amazing and each winery was different from one to the next. We visited Nani Rizzi, Marchiori and Borgoluce in 5 hours and it was perfect! Thank you for everything Cris – I highly recommend this tour. Getting out of Venice for a day and seeing the Prosecco hills is a landscape you will never come by again!
My wife and I had an amazing visit with Cris to the Valdobbiadene -Conegliano region. Cris was extremely helpful in planning out our day we worked together to plan which wineries we were going to visit during the day. Cris’ driving was great and there were no issues during our tours. It was great to know that Cris grew up in the region and he was studying to be a sommelier. He was knowledgeable about the history of the region and could speak to the different tasting notes of the prosecco we tasted throughout the day. He even ran to the train station to purchase us the correct tickets for our train ride back to Venice so we could spend more time at our second winery. We had such a great time with Cris, we recommended him and Visit Prosecco to my Brother and Sister-in-law who were heading to Venice a month after us!
I look forward to booking our next tour with Cris when we return to Venice in the future!
One of the coolest things we have ever done!
My husband and I were in Venice in February. We have been to Italy many times but have never done any wine touring so we thought we would try it out. We are huge fans of Napa and have been there many times so our bar was set very high and we were not really sure if this would be something like what we were accustomed to in the States. Cris provided way more than we expected. He listened to exactly what we wanted to get out of the tour and provided it 100%. We went to 4 wineries and each one was amazing. The tutorial provided by the business owner was enlightening, the people were engaging and delightful. Cris is very well versed in the area and knew the winery owners and was able to get us right up and personal. It was fantastic! We wanted to do more of a local type lunch, not something fancy and we ate in a taverna that was owned by a husband and wife. Every bit of food we ate was made by them and was amazing. The wine and the beer all locally brewed was delicious. Honestly we have been blessed to do many fabulous things in our lives, and this tour honestly ranks right up there with one of them. I highly highly advise seeking our Cris if you are in the region-hes the best!
We were a party of 6 who spent a half day visiting the prosecco region. Our driver was fantastic, professional and friendly and made good suggestions for which wineries to visit. There were no language barriers at all and overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone. Many thanks!
Oriana Chantal is Outstanding
We went with another couple to tour the Prosecco area of Italy for our 35th Wedding Anniversary. It couldn’t have been a more magical day. Oriana’s enthusiasm, punctuality, knowledge, kindness and wonderful personality made for a memory we won’t forget. The DOCG vineyards are breath-taking and the wineries she took us to were very special. We would recommend her without hesitation. Wish I could take all my friends.
was a wonderful find!
You want an experienced driver familiar with the area and an absolute delight to be around? Then Oriana is your gal! She arranged three fabulous tours for us. She was a great resource for other activities, etc. If we find ourselves in this area again, we will be enlisting her services again – or at least meeting us for a glass of Prosecco!
Amazing… had such a good time and tasted the best Prosecco.
We had such a lovely tour of the Prosecco region in July 2019. Oriana was a fantastic tour guide, very knowledgeable of the area and of everything to do with Prosecco. She is Italian, lives in the Prosecco region and her English is also very good. She seemed to know everyone and around every corner she found another part of the area that was her ‘favourite’, she took us to five very different wineries, each one had its own charm and we genuinely did not have a bad glass of wine (and no hangovers) despite having our first glass around 11am some mornings.
We had booked our own accommodation and then we arranged for Oriana (recommended by ‘Vist Prosecco’ website) to take us on a 2 day tour of the Prosecco wineries. All we had to do was put down a deposit through e-mail and then paid her the remainder at the end of the tour. We were very lucky because the weather was very hot, in fact we actually decided to go to another hotel and use their pool on the first day but we called Oriana and she was very happy to come and collect us from there instead, and of course she knew the owner. We visited two wineries on the first day, one smaller grower and one much larger. Oriana only took us to DOCG wineries and was very proud of the fact the region had recently been awarded ‘Unesco World Heritage’ status, and rightly so, it was all so beautiful. The second day we started a little earlier than originally planned, but once again Oriana was very flexible to our requests and dropped us off wherever we asked for lunch or dinner. We had travelled light as well, having first spent a couple of days in Venice before getting the train to Connegliano, so were not expecting to be able to take any bottles back on the plane however, Oriana had all the details to buy and then ship bottles back home, our delivery arrived very safely packaged about two weeks after we got back, and it all tasted as good as we remember (very reasonable price too). Oriana collected all of our bought bottles and arranged the delivery, even letting us use her iPad in the back of the car to fill in all necessary details. (Please note: She made no extra commission for this, simply letting us know the website and what to expect). We are now DOCG snobs and look for the label (brown) on all our bottles now (although still enjoy a DOC bottle (blue label), but don’t tell Oriana this…). Cannot recommend her highly enough, we will definitely be going back at some point and look forward to seeing Oriana again.
Perfect escorted day with Oriana- she is delightful, knowlegable and showed our group some lovely prosecco DOCG vineyards. Loved learning about the region, had a wonderful lunch and ended the day with Gelato at Gelateritas which was the best I have ever had. Cheers to a great day!! We will return!!
A Dream Day
My husband and I spent the day touring the Processo Wineries with Cris on September 15, 2019. He was a fabulous guide, very personable, with excellent English. He was on time and the tour vehicle was perfect. The wineries chosen suited our tastes very well and the guides at the wineries were informative and friendly. The scenery in the area is spectacular. Lunch at a small restaurant just added to the beauty of the day. I would recommend this tour and Cris to everyone. The day was well worth the money paid it was relaxing but fun.
We spent the day today with Cris Cazzolato visiting the Prosecco Trail. He is a wonderful guide with lots of information on the area. Cris picked wineries that really suited our tastes, from very small to larger but still family owned. The winery guides were informative and friendly. Got to see the operations during that harvest season which was special. I would highly recommend this day spent with Cris, his English is excellent, he was on time, and the day was not rushed. I would also recommend staying at the CastelBrando. Overall well worth the money paid.
Absolutely wonderful tour!!!
Our tour of the Prosecco road was absolutely wonderful! Alessio was our driver and I highly recommend him, we will definitely be returning to spend more time in this area and will definitely want him to drive us. We had him chose the winery’s, he chose a larger winery and a smaller family owed winery. I have never seen such beautiful countryside. We learned so much and it was such an enjoyable time. He is very knowledgeable of the area so kept us entertained during the entire drive. This was one of the best parts of our trip to Italy! Loved it! Thank you so much!
Wonderful day touring the Prosecco Road
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our day on the Prosecco area with Oriana. We visited three different wineries that were interesting for unique reasons. Oriana was so friendly and knowledgeable and we would highly recommend her.
This process…booking through tour…could not have been easier/better. We reached out through Visit Prosecco and was immediately contacted via email by two individuals. One, Cris, was available to take us on the dates that we requested. He was extremely helpful in coordinating logistics (we were coming from Venice) and suggested several train stations/times for us to take. Upon arrival, the van was perfectly clean and Cris was extremely welcoming. He gave us some background knowledge on the area and drove us between three different wineries – all DOCG producers. My wife and I take a lot of wine tours during our world travels, but this was BY FAR THE BEST we have ever taken. Maybe it was the wine, the weather, the wineries, (or more likely our AMAZING GUIDE, Cris), but this day in the hills of Conegliano/Valdobbiadene was the highlight of our 12-Day tour through Italy! We hope that we get to come back at some point in the future – THANK YOU!!!

A highlight of Venice
We really enjoyed our tour with Cris. He was super helpful in planning our day and was very accommodating with our schedule. There was 14 of us so he and another driver met us at the train station in Conegliano. He was very informative on our drive to the wineries. We let Cris pick the wineries and they were both fantastic. He chose a large winery with amazing views and a smaller family one that was so charming. He was also very helpful in facilitating the shipping of Prosecco back home. We thank you for a perfect day!
Thanks so much for your wonderful review of these wineries. I’m planning our trip to Italy for next march and i know the wife would love to visit some of these places. My goal is to go a little out of the way on our drive from Venice to Verona
and take in the lovely views and possibly let her try a few Prosecco(s) on the way. Many thanks for making my task a little easier. br, Larry
Fantastic wonderful splendid super

We recommend Proccecoroad to everybody
Firstly, we want to commend you on a great website! Everything we needed was a keystroke away. We booked a 3 hour private tour with Cris. He was an exceptional guide…friendly and knowledgeable! He organized a private tour of Col del Lupo winery. Julia was a great host which complimented the great prosecco and food! Cris then took us to the ‘honor’ restaurant and prosecco vending machine. We enjoyed the prosecco and cheese while taking in the great sights below us.
We highly recommend Cris as a guide.

Prosecco Tour August 2019
Hi Jo! Thank you for the very insightful blog and step by step details of how to book the Prosecco Tour in Venice! So many people have suggested online to use Oriana’s transport company for the tour, so we opted for that and her details are on Facebook. Our driver was Cris, he emailed me packages to choose from to make up an itinerary for the day. We chose the option for 2 wine farms (your choice or let him choose) and a lunch, but you can also choose more or less, plus a cabriolet car (for an extra fee) which made the day unforgettable! Our second tasting at Colvetoraz was where the famous vending machines are and that was unique! Cris gave us the exact details of which trains to take from our location which really helps when you are not familiar with the trains. This was definitely a highlight on our trip and I would recommend it to anyone who would like to experience the rolling prosecco hills, prosecco tastings surrounded by gorgeous views, a lunch made by locals and memories to last a lifetime.
Prosecco Valley is a place not to be missed.
Our Prosecco Valley wine tour was the absolute highlight of our Northern Italy vacation. Oriana brought us to the most exclusive and intimate wineries for tastings and education on how the wine is made. Oriana was very passionate and knowledgeable about the area, as she grew up there, and was able to show us the most amazing sites. I highly recommend this wine tour and definitely recommend Oriana as your guide.
Wow ! What can I say other then this tour was amazing ! We did 2 days, 6 hours each day and went to 8 wineries. We tasted the best Prosecco and learned so much. Oriana was our tour guide, she spoke English and took really good care of us, we felt like VIPs at every place we walked into. The wine shipping was always a huge plus !!!! Will recommend to anyone that asked !
Amazing tour and region!!!
We decided to take a day trip from Venice to tour the Prosecco region and it was such an incredible experience! I found Visit Prosecco Italy through an internet search and after reading through the info, I decided to reach out and booked an 8 hour tour. Jo and Cris were both super helpful in helping us make our choices for the day. Cris was originally supposed to be our driver, but wasn’t able to work with our group closer to the date. He promptly put us in touch with Luca who didn’t miss a beat with our preferred choices. We went to three wineries, Gregoletto, Adami and Col Vetoraz which were all fantastic and the views were amazing. The locanda that we stopped at for lunch was so quaint and delicious. I can’t say enough about the job that Luca did to make our day special. He was prompt, had all of our arrangements set up in advance and was very knowledgeable in answering our questions. This was truly an unforgettable experience and I can’t wait to come back!
Wonderful tour of Prosecco for our family of 6!
Cris was the perfect host and driver for our day in Prosecco! We took the train from Venice to Conegliano where Cris met us. We spend the day driving with him, learning about the region, and visiting two vineyards. The tastings were great – one winery was small and the other larger. Both were delicious – the Prosecco and the food pairings. Cris was very knowledgeable and professional. He also helped us with purchasing our wine and shipping it to our home in the US. Don’t hesitate to book with him if you want to discover Prosecco and this beautiful region of Italy!! Great great day!!
Oriana was fantastic and so easy to work with. She handled all of the details; all I had to do was show up. We visited three fantastic and very different places. She also made a side trip for me so that I could visit the Prosecco vending machine. Overall, it was a great day!
Wonderful day trip!
Your blog is fantastic, thanks for the tips! We easily booked a local driver, Oriana, who greeted us at the train station (we came from Venice). She was wonderful and happily shared her knowledge and history of this beautiful part of Italy. She drove us to 3 lovely DOCG wineries where we learned about (and tasted) some amazing prosecco. The best part was the restaurant she booked for lunch. It was nestled up in the hills with the vineyards. What a view! If you’re short on time, I highly recommend visiting this part of Italy this way.
really awesome tour
We did this tour with Oriana Balliana on July22nd and it was pretty amazing. She’s very knowledgeable about the area and took us to the best wineries in Prosecco Valley. She was very patient and helpful, and I highly recommend her! Thanks Oriana we had a blast
Cris was an excellent host!
My daughter and I hired Cris as our driver in May 2019 to tour the Prosecco region. He was fantastic – knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. He arranged everything — the vineyard tour, which train stations we should arrive at and depart from, and restaurant recommendations. We learned so much from him during the tour. I highly recommend him.
What a perfect day..what else can I say? Chris picked us up and on the way to first winery filled us in with tidbits of the Prosecco region. He chose 3 different wineries for the day- each unique- which is especially important as I study wine. I left it up to him to choose a spot for lunch. The day was not rushed and relaxed. Chris was kind and courteous and even helped us get a converter for our B&B. Would highly recommend getting a driver for the day!
Loved it so much we got engaged!
I can not say enough amazing things about our winery tour with Visit Prosecco Italy!
I found Jo’s website while Googling the Prosecco region and was blown away by the depth of knowledge she possesses about the region and her desire to share it with others. I reached out a day or two before our desired tour date which I knew was cutting it a bit close, but Jo responded fairly quickly and connected me with one of her trusted drivers. The prices were fair, transparent, and agreed upon upfront. After a few messages with the driver about the length of our tour/with or without a lunch stop… the rest was completely taken care of and I was immediately at ease. Alessio explained exactly which train to take and what stop to meet him. He picked us up right on time and greeted us with water, then we were off to our first winery. Along the drive, Alessio gave us a brief history of the area and explained the types of wineries we would be visiting. Stop 1 was a small family winery that gave us an in-depth history of Prosecco, the grapes, the soil, and the way nature and nurture affect the process. We LOVED the wine so much we bought 3 bottles. We then stopped at the second winery and then lunch. Lunch was a traditional Italian meal of mozzarella, tomatoes, meat, and wine. The surrounding area was so beautiful and we left full and happy.
When we arrived at the last winery Alessio informed us that we had about 30 minutes before our tasting would start and that we should feel free to roam the grounds a bit. The winery itself was beautiful but the view was STUNNING. We wandered up a trellised stairway to a semi-secluded spot with incredible views overlooking the most elite vineyard in the Valdobbiadene region. My partner saw this as the perfect spot to get down on one knee and propose… and she was right. It couldn’t have been a more magical place. We completed our tour with huge smiles on our faces (partially because of the engagement and partially because of the delicious Prosecco/beautiful day).
Huge thank you to Jo + Alessio + all of the wineries. It was surely a day we will never forget.
AMAZING! Highlight of our trip!
Cris was absolutely amazing! He provided so much information about the region, had a very nice ride for us, and provided train information on where to meet him. This day was the highlight of our trip. The region is absolutely incredible and I would highly recommend going this route vs. viator or anything else. It is more personal and more affordable! Thank you Jo and Cris for making this possible.
The perfect day
Cris was an awesome guide for our Prosecco tour. I upgraded to a convertible and my wife and I had such a wonderful day learning about and drinking plenty of Prosecco while cruising to the different vineyards in the Italian countryside. Cris recommended a lunch spot and it was one of the highlights of our trip as well. Cris is very laid back and knows his stuff. We had a great time with him and would certainly recommend him to anyone. This day was exactly how we wanted it to be and an Italy experience we will remember forever. Thanks Cris!
We saved our prosecco tour for our last day in Italy, and it did not disappoint! We did a 4 hour tour, which consisted of 2 wineries and a stop at a gorgeous overlook that had prosecco vending machines. Our guide, Cris, was a dream! He gave us a full overview of the basics of prosecco. The wineries were amazing, they each had incredible views and the best prosecco. If someone were to ask me to recommend only one thing to do in Italy, it would absolutely be a tour in the prosecco region.
One of the best days during our visit to Italy!
We cannot thank you enough for helping us organise one of the best days during our visit to Italy! You were so helpful and accommodating, which made planning our sister’s hens day from the other side of the world effortless. You were always friendly, enthusiastic and prompt in replaying to our requests, nothing was too difficult! We had an epic day visiting beautiful Col Vetoraz winery, unique Osteria Senz’Oste and you went above and beyond, organising an extra surprise at the end of the day, at Col del Lupo which really was the perfect end to a perfect day.
We would highly recommend your services to anyone planning a visit to the Prosecco valley!
Highlight of our Europe Trip!
Oriana was a wonderful driver/guide! She picked us up from the train station as promised and off we went! We visited three wineries and ate lunch at a lovely restaurant where Oriana knew the owner! The food there was delicious. All three wineries were awesome, and just having Oriana drive us around the region and talk about it was so much fun! She knew the train schedules and had us back to the train station in plenty of time to catch our train back to Venice. I would tell anyone who’s planning to go to Venice to definitely do a Prosecco tour one day. It’s so nice to get out to the countryside!
We loved Jo’s Prosecco valley
Oh my gosh! We can’t say enough about the wonderful information Jo provided on this website and blog. We wanted to visit vineyards, but one person in our group doesn’t like wine, only Prosecco. So in our researching Prosecco we found this website. We were able to secure a driver through the website for our private 5 hour tour. Luca, our driver, was amazing. We made all our arrangements via email. He met us at the Conegliano train station and drove a very comfortable air conditioned van. He had arranged two Prosecco tastings and a tour of the Prosecco making process. He took us to many beautiful sites and was very knowledgeable. We felt we had made a friend by the time we said arrivederci!
Wonderful Prosecco driver
I travelled to Venice with a group of friends for a big birthday celebration in June, following in Jo’s footsteps by going on our own Prosecco tour using her tips and guide. Biggest shout out and thanks goes to Oriana, our prosecco tour driver, who gave us a magical and slightly tipsy day visiting some of the best wineries and tasting the finest prosecco we’ve ever had. We would all highly recommend her.
EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS!
We knew that we would enjoy a trip to the Prosecco region….But the Prosecco tour with our driver Cris far exceeded expectations!
Cris met us at the train station in Cornegliano. We were a party of 5. His vehicle was large, clean, comfortable–in other words perfect. He even offered us cold bottled water!!
Not only does Cris speak perfect English–he’s very funny, sweet and extremely knowledgeable about the region.
We visited 3 wineries–Toni Doro (which WE asked to visit) and two others that Cris had set up for us.
The owner at Toni Doro met us upon arrival. What a fantastic host!! He gave us a walking tour of his vineyards and explained the Prosecco making process, then hosted us for a tasting of his Prosecco. He’s extremely proud of his product—and we loved it too!!!
We ended up purchasing 12 bottles before we left!!
Cris set up our second tasting at Duca di Dolle where we were given a wonderful lunch consisting of several types of prosciutto, cheeses, bread and 6 different Proseccos. The setting was a beautiful outdoor garden overlooking the vineyards. We didn’t want to leave!! (We bought several bottles.)
Our final stop was Gregoletto winery where we were given a tour, more food, and a wonderful tasting hosted by the daughter of the wine maker. (Again we purchased several bottles).
We ended up shipping quite a bit back to the USA–which Cris helped us accomplish.
Then sadly our tour was over.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this service and Cris—if you can book him–cause he’s in high demand.
Each of these wineries was family owned and family run.
I highly recommend doing this particular tour.
My understanding is that most wineries don’t take you into their fields—so our visit to Toni Doro was extra special.
Amazing wine tasting experience
We had the time of our lives. We were greeted at the train station in Conegliano by our driver Alessio.
The van was new and the air conditioner was running high. It was very hot out this day.
Our first stop was Gregoletto. This winery was family owned and run. A very quaint place. The young lady serving us was the grand daughter of the family. We were served great wines with fresh fruit and biscotti.
Our second stop was Col Veturaz. A very modern winery with a great view.
Our last stop was beautiful. Duca Di Dolle is a hotel and winery. The view was spectacular. We were served great wines and a cheese and charcuterie board.
Over all this was one of the best wine experiences!
I highly recommend Visit Prosecco Italy!!
Perfect trip to Prosecco
Our trip was everything we could ask for. We did a 6-hour tour and visited three wineries. Oriana was our driver and she was fantastic, with great local info and tips. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in going to Prosecco.
It was such a great experience! Very easy to book and arrange. The day was fabulous and we would definitely recommend.
Best part of our visit to Venice
Wonderful day visiting three separate wineries and enjoying a fabulous lunch. The small, family run wineries were so accommodating and friendly and their wines were just wonderful. Please – don’t go to Venice and NOT spend a day in this lovely part of Italy. It was worth every penny.
PS – the attached photo is our view from one of the tastings
Oriana was a good guide and driver. We went to two small wineries and visited the prosecco vending machine. We took the four hour trip.
Had a great day!
We had Chris as a driver for 3 wineries.
He didn’t disappoint!
Courteous, friendly and knowledgeable of the area. I left it up to him to choose where to taste and eat lunch. All were superb choices!
Bonus was a walk to the Prosecco vending machine!
Beautiful weekend away in the Prosecco region
We have just returned from a fabulous weekend in the Prosecco region and are so thankful for our guide Cris. It was never going to be an easy job arranging transport and wine tours for 13 women but Cris did this with ease and everything was spot on. We chose to do a 6 hour tour and visited 3 wineries which were all very reasonably priced and had the most amazing views, we also stopped for lunch at a lovely local Osteria which we thoroughly enjoyed. Cris is the perfect guide and was extremely helpful in every aspect of our trip.. even arranging to stop at a local store on the way back to the hotel so we could purchase a few extras. We highly recommend Cris if you are planning on a trip to the region. We are all experts in Prosecco now, thanks Cris. 😊
Highly recommended wine tour
If you are even thinking of doing a wine tour I would highly recommend hiring one of the drivers that Jo can set you up with. Oriana is the best person for a tour like this, she kept in contact with me and worked with me through my detailed planning. We ended up with 13 people on this trip so Luka became our second driver for the day. This was the highlight of our week trip in Venice. We visited three wineries and had an amazing lunch that Oriana set up for us. The cost was definitely worth it for a 6 hour tour. Our drivers helped us work through shipping our wine home as now that we are back in the states it is wonderful having a taste of Italy at home. You will not regret booking this trip. Kudos to Jo and her awesome drivers they truly want you to make wonderful memories on your Prosecco tour. Lori and the Hunter Douglas group
highlight of our trip!!!!
was late to hear about the Prosecco region being so close to Venice..wasnt even planning to go to there, as i would prefer Lake Como…but this tour really made my European trip all worth it!!!
has always been a fan of prosecco in Sydney…but we dont usually get the best ones here..so i got very excited learning about this tour…and immediately contacted Jo from this website and booked..
best decision ever!!!booking was so easy..was given Cris to pick us up and show us around the region…and we were very impressed with the service..he was so knowledgeable about the region and felt the passion when he talked..even though it was a bit rainy that day, Cris and his dad were so nice and warm and it felt like we were friends/family…
and the two wineries didnt disappoint either…finally was able to taste and drink really good quality and award winning prosecco…and even bought 2 bottles from each winery…just to savour the moment…learned so much about the wine and the region and would definitely recommend to my friends back in Sydney..it was an unforgettable experience for me..
it was a great trip…thanks Jo and Cris..if ever im back in the region, would surely do this tour again!!!!
Highlight of our trip
If you are researching wine tours in the Prosecco region you can stop here. What started out with a couple of us wanting to go on a tour ended up with 13 people and two of the best drivers Oriana and Luka. They met us at the train station after amazing directions and constant contact, for the best 6 hours of our week trip. Oriana planned our day with three wineries and lunch and then helped us work out shipping our wine home so we could bring a little Italy home with us. Whenever I would have a question or concern before our trip, both Jo or Oriana would reply right back and made me feel totally at ease as I’m a big planner and wanted this to be a trip to remember. It met all of my expectations and more! Lori and the Hunter Douglas crew
An excellent tour touring the beautiful Veneto region and expanding our knowledge of Prosecco!
We had a lovely time; our guide Alessio was very helpful and knowledgeable and took good care of us. He brought us to 3 wineries and excellent viewpoints offering us a fantastic view of the Veneto region and even acted as translator at a winery on the staff’s behalf. Would highly recommend!
Oriana is the Queen of Prosecco!
We loved the tour as well as Oriana! She was known by everyone and made us feel like family! I would highly recommend her and this tour!
Absolutely incredible – Oriana is the best!
We booked a trip with Oriana after visiting this site and reading all the great reviews. Everything is exactly as described and Oriana is so awesome/ it’s so easy to take the train up to meet her. Could not possibly recommend a private tour with her more!
The Prosecco vending machine is a must see on top of the hill!
Prosecco tour for a Prosecco Queen
We’ve just got back from an amazing trip to Italy. Thank you so much for all your guidance and tips that your website gave us. Our driver, Oriana was amazing, knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. We will definitely go back and I think a few people have now said they want to do it after hearing all about it. Thanks once again. Cathe
Highlight of our trip!
We had such an amazing vineyard tour with Cris. Words do not describe this trip but I’ll give it a try. After a great lunch at Enrica Miron, Cris picked us up and we headed to Valdobbiadene to visit Cartizze and Col Vetoraz. Our last stop was Col de Lupo. The perfect blend of scenic stops and tastings. Cris was the best guide. He’s so knowledgeable about the region and Prosecco. We learned a lot on our visit. Do not miss this trip, stopping in Cartizze and the vending machine. Our only regret is not spending more time in the region with Cris (4 hour tour) and buying more wine to take back and enjoy.
The absolute best day with Oriana
I booked a 6 hour trip with Oriana for my Mom’s 60th birthday and we could not have asked for a better day. All of the wineries that Oriana chose for us were extremely personable and knowledgeable and we had a lovely, lovely time drinking fabulous Prosecco at each one. Our lunch location was also absolutely charming and very yummy! And Oriana took the time to show us a few other local spots (gelato, silk shop, historic church) and was beyond accommodating with any of our questions or needs. We would wholly recommend the Prosecco region, and especially a day with Oriana, to everyone!! Thank you to Jo and Oriana for such an unforgettable and truly magical day.
The tour is well worth doing, a unique experience to see incredible views, taste amazing prosecco and learn so much about this wonderful region. Cris was a fantastic driver and tour guide, met us at the station and seamlessly reorganised our day as we had been delayed by an accident at the railway. Cris has a great personality and is informative and professional. The lunch stop was absolutely incredible – best ravioli I have ever eaten. The tour is not cheap but genuinely worth it! I would not hesitate to recommend.
The highlight of our time in Italy
Yesterday my parents and I spent the most beautiful afternoon tasting prosecco in Valdobbiadene. We were collected at Susegana, a short train trip from Venice, by Alessio, our driver.
Alessio is extremely knowledgable about the region and its history (not only the wine making parts) and he made the trip so much more interesting. His car was spotlessly clean and comfortable and his driving was impeccable. The two producers he chose for our itinerary (Gregoletto and Duca di Dolle) we’re each wonderful in their own way. Gregoletto demonstrated their production methods, passed down through the family since their vineyards were established in 1600. Duca di Dolle a more recently established producer (still decades old) had the most breathtaking setting and views I have ever seen. At both locations the insight into different types of prosecco, mixes of grape, and production methods increased our understanding and enjoyment of the wine immensely.
I highly recommend both Alessio, and the two vineyards – Gregoletto and Duca di Dolle – to anyone traveling to this region of Italy.
Chris, our driver was so polite , with so much knowledge and love of this region. He took the time to ask what we expected of the day and went above and beyond to deliver ..
highly recommend this day
Loved the Prosecco Region!
Our driver Oriana picked us up at the train station and hosted us for a day of wine tasting and food which was one of the highlights of our month long trip to Italy. We visited three local DOCG wineries, had lunch at an amazing restaurant which we never would have found on our own, and even managed to find time for some home made gelato. The Prosecco from each winery was amazing and Oriana was very helpful regarding our general enquires. Additionally, Oriana drove us a second day in the area to a nearby town from which my grandparents originated. Lovely visit and I would recommend Oriana highly.
Chris picked us up directly from the train station and provided us with a great time to three wineries and an amazing lunch location. Everything was seamless and easy. Would definitely book again!
A truely authentic experience!
We’ve just enjoyed an amazing 3 days, on the Prosecco road, staying near Follina. Cris & Luca took care of all our transfer and vineyard arrangements, which was such a treat! The 3 tasting sessions we had were perfectly pitched for our needs, informal & friendly yet informative, full of fascinating facts. Everything went so smoothly, even down to the shipping arrangements made to bring our purchases home. We couldn’t recommend Jo and her wonderful local guides more highly. And we can’t wait to go back!!
We stayed at Castel Brando it was beautiful. The only issues were you have to pay to use the fitness center (a little steep too), the ac was not on yet even though the rooms were a bit stuffy inside. We opened the windows but the first night there were mosquitos and the second night a big wind and rain storm. Only one restaurant was open the days we were there (bummer) and the museum was under renovations :(. BUT the rooms are gorgeous, the staff was kind, and breakfast was yummy.
We had Luca as our guide and he was phenomenal!!!!! We loved our tour, wines, food it was just amazing. We cant wait to go back!
Cris is an awesome tour guide!!
This was my favorite part of our Italy trip. Cris was awesome and he made our day an amazing one. Don’t pass up this opportunity!!
A great day – well worth the cost
Spending the day in the beautiful Prosecco countryside learning about the region and the wines was one of the highlights of our trip. Our driver, Oriana was knowledgeable, engaging and took us to some great spots. It was simple to organize and everything went smoothly. Taking the train from Venice to our meeting place was very easy and low cost. The 300 euro for a private car and guided tour for the day was reasonable compared to other outings we had during our trip, particularly since it was shared between four of us.
Our driver Chris was awesome! His driving was great. He was very knowledgeable about the region, its history, and the local wineries producing great Prosecco! I worked with him directly to plan out our day, he offered some suggestions and I sent some wineries that I was interested in and we planned out a great day! He showed us some amazing places throughout the region and even went out of his way to get us a train ticket home as we sat for our second Prosecco tasting. Our visit to Marchiori with the wine maker, Umberto Marchiori was an incredible opportunity and experience tasting the still wines from 5 different grapes that are grown in the region that add their individual characteristics to Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG! It was an awesome day and we were so happy with Chris. We were glad to hear he was training to be a sommelier as he was able to provide us with more information about the wines from the region. We recommended Visit Prosecco to my brother and his fiance. They booked a trip with Chris to visit a couple more great wineries on their honeymoon.
Wonderful day. Highlight of our trip
Oriana was so terrific. She was well informed and so pleasant. Drove us to three wineries and a wonderful restaurant for lunch. We had such a good time. I would highly recommend!!
Trip of a lifetime
Our trip to the Prosecco road was everything we dreamed of and more!
We had an amazing driver, Alessio who organised some amazing wine tastings for us. He also took us to a great osteria for lunch which was nestled in the hills with the most gorgeous view.
The region is so beautiful and we stayed at the Borgoluce that is one of Jo’s recommendations. It has recently been renovated and the rooms were comfortable and modern. They make all their own produce and the breakfast spread was delicious. Borgoluce has its own winery and we also did a wine tasting there the next day.
The only bad thing about the trip was having to leave!
An amazing hen weekend
We spent an amazing three days in the Prosecco region to celebrate my friend’s Hen party. A massive thank you to Oriana for the great tour we did – she drove us around, taking us to a brilliant selection of family-run vineyards. She also took us to the best pizzeria for lunch and even let us go via a supermarket on the way back to our villa to pick up supplies. Oriana was the perfect hostess- she had lots of knowledge and was great fun! Thank you also to Luca for driving us to and from the airport. The trip really wouldn’t have happened without Jo’s great blog- there was so much helpful advice and information. Thank you so much for making our weekend one to remember!
Emma, Rebecca, Louise and Sam xx
We are 3 girls from Australia and we had an amazing day with Cris exploring the Prosecco hills. Even before the day, Cris was so helpful in his emails explaining that on our first day in the region (31 May) the Giro d‘Italia was passing through and suggesting activities we could still do that would not be impacted by the race. He ended up making a booking for us for a tasting at Giusti Wine in Nervesa della Battaglia which was one of the best wine tasting experiences I’ve had anywhere! On the actual day, Cris picked us up from our hotel in a brand new van and promised us a fun day. I’m glad to say Cris absolutely delivered on that promise! The three wineries we experienced were all very different but gave us a great range of Proseccos to sample. The landscape we saw on the day particularly around Cartizze was magical and breathtaking! But the best thing about the day was the laughs we had with Cris. He never rushed us even though we gladly lingered at each winery (the proseccos made us even chattier!). At the end of the day, even though our time was up Cris insisted we experience the views from the Prosecco vending machine and took us for one final surprise stop :-). Highly recommend a visit to the region and spending a day with Cris!
Fantastic day touring with Cris
From the moment I reached out to Visitproseccoitaly to sitting back at home drinking my Prosecco, I have truly been impressed– I feel like I have stumbled upon the world’s best kept secret!
Our day was perfectly arranged from train station pick up to lunch to visiting three very different vineyards– wish we could have spent more time! Cris was incredibly personable and answered all of our crazy questions while ensuring that we comfortable and well feed! We could have not asked for a better experience.
Thanks so much to Cris for the most memorable day of our European adventure!
Chris was absolutely fantastic! An amazing day!
We had an wonderful day with Chris showing around some of the best Prosecco producers in the region. He was very knowledgeable about the region’s wine history as well as its cultural history. We had lunch in the most amazing hidden place with some of the best food I have ever tasted. I couldn’t recommend Chris more and hope to have the opportunity to come back and see more of the region. Thank you so much! It was a day we will never forget!
Prosecco region…fabulous experience – April 2019
My husband and I had been planning a trip to Italy to do some cycling. At the suggestion of friends, we decided to include the Prosecco region as a nice relaxing way to cap off our stay. A couple of wineries, we had wanted to visit, were within easy walking distance from our accommodations, but we also knew the DOCG region offered up so many more. After finding Jo’s blog ‘Visit Prosecco Italy’, we immediately made contact to see if Oriana might be available on one of the dates. We were so thankful she could accommodate a 4-hour private tour (which went by too quickly!). Oriana knows her stuff!! She was punctual, personable, welcoming, humorous … and she shared her love of the region, as a true local. We were introduced to some wonderful wineries, enjoyed the nuances of Prosecco wines – sweetness, growing conditions (soil/sun/hills), etc., and picked up a few bottles to re-live and toast our experience, upon returning home. Thank you for making our stay extra-special.
A wonderful Prosecco adventure!
Cris was an amazing tour guide on a gloomy, rainy day. We leaned so much! Each winery was unique in its own way. My only negative was that we could not hear him in the back of the vehicle. A microphone would have been helpful.
A Great Tour
Our group of 10 had a great tour with Cris to the Prosecco Region. He selected three small, family-owned wineries for our visit, and we enjoyed all of them! He entertained us with information and stories about the region during our trip. Unfortunately, the rain and clouds prevented us from seeing the panoramic beauty of the region, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Cris. His communication with me prior to the visit was supurb. He was flexible with our requested changes even at the last minute. I would highly recommend this tour! Thank you, Cris!
First, we did a four hour winery tour, which allowed us to visit two wineries. We were so pleased with the wineries themselves. The first winery was more commercial and had a “new/modern” feeling; the second winery was a family business established in 1600. The wineries produced very different tasting prosecco’s and presented two different atmospheres. The second one offered us local food to try with our prosecco (meats and cheeses). We were thrilled and would recommend either winery to anyone. If you can make the time, I recommend doing a six-hour tour–it was just so fun. We plan to go back one day and will stay longer in this area. Our driver was friendly and happy to chat with us about the region as he drove. We would use this tour booking process again. A word of caution: Make sure you have your driver’s name, picture, and phone number so you can easily contact them when you arrive (we arrived by train from Venice). We had small mix-up in which our driver picked up a couple from an earlier train (despite being given our train times; thankfully, the guide intended for that couple was still at the train station trying to find them and we ran into each other and figured out the mix-up after I showed her a picture of our driver (who she recognized as her co-worker). I would also recommend reiterating your departure time to your driver – our driver left us at the second winery and we waited about fifteen minutes for him to return. This would have been fine if we had known he did not plan to stay parked at the winery like he had at the first one (we would have contacted him just prior to the conclusion of our tour) or if our train schedule had been flexible. As it was, our train tickets had already been purchased and we had a connecting train to make (train back to Venice and then on to Florence) –I was very clear on all of this and the exact times of our trains when I booked our dates. To fix this problem, our driver drove very fast, so all was well, but I was very nervous!
Reply from Jo
Hi Kali, I’m so happy to hear you had a wonderful time. But I’m also sorry to hear that another customer ‘borrowed’ your driver for a short while. In the three years I’ve been working with local drivers, this is the first time this has happened and it has offered a learning experience, especially as we bring more and more readers to the region. I spoke with your driver and I understand he had a personal matter unexpectedly crop up. Your driver would usually stay with you while you’re at the winery/lunch/sightseeing. Both he and I would like to apologise if this added an element of stress to your trip. Personally, Italian driving can make me nervous (don’t tell the Italians!) but your driver reassured me he was driving safely at all times. I will also drop you a personal note by email and hope that we will welcome you back to the Prosecco region very soon.
best part of our Italy vacation
Wow, thank you so much for such an amazing and personal experience. We have loved Italy, but taking this tour was beyond the best.
We loved Alessio, our guide. He selected the wineries to give us a good overview of the region. The two wineries we visited were La Tordera (larger) and Marciori (small, family-owned). We absolutely LOVED Marciori. We learned so much from Sara. She was delightful and so engaging. And it was the most delicious Prosecco we had ever enjoyed!
Thank you so much, Jo for taking the time to write about your own experience and then create this opportunity for us. I am so grateful that I stumbled on your first blog about creating your own tour.
Excellent Prosecco tour
We really enjoyed our Prosecco tour with Oriana. We visited three vineyards, a wonderful restaurant and a lovely ice cream parlour. Oriana also helped us to arrange shipping for sending our wines back to the UK. In addition, Oriana introduced us to a driver for our transfers to and from Venice and he took us on a tour round Treviso on our way back to Venice.
Toller Guide sehr empfehlenswert
Wir hatten mit Alessio eine 4 Stunden Tour gebucht. Trotz schlechten Wetter zeigte er uns die Prosecco Straße von seiner schön Seite. Wir können so eine Tour nur weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder !
(Translated with Google Translate: We booked a 4 hour tour with Alessio. Despite bad weather, he showed us the Prosecco street from its beautiful side. We can only recommend such a tour and will gladly come again!)
The best part of our trip!
This was by far our favorite day of our trip! Oriana was the perfect guide. All 3 of the wineries we went to were amazing! The Prosecco was delicious and the place we went for lunch had the best food we had during our trip. The views were beautiful and we had so much fun exploring the Prosecco region with a local! This experience is absolutely worth it! We can’t wait to come back another time!
We loved this new experience! Beautifull landscapes, good wines and meals and the Oriana is sympatic person and she has a good vibe!!!
Best trip ever…
Cris & Oriana organized a beautiful day for our group. It went seamlessly with an experience we will never forget. I emailed from the website with a request. Cris returned my email within 24 hours, and he worked with me to arrange two drivers, for a group of 12. Our group was staying in Venice and we took a train easily to Susegana where Cris and Oriana were waiting for us. We were visiting on a state holiday, and still they were able to arrange 3 wineries and a amazing lunch. It was one of those days, that you want to pinch yourself to make sure you’re not dreaming. I highly recommend booking with Cris and/or Oriana for the best experience EVER!! You will be in good hands and you won’t regret it.
Awesome Prosecco tour!
Travelled 4/29/19. I am so thankful to Jo for her blog IndianaJo and visitproseccoitaly. Jo was very responsive and helpful every time I had a question regarding the Treviso area and the Prosecco tour. Christiano was supposed to be our guide however he got sick but he arranged another guide for us, Alessio who was a great guide. Alessio picked us up at the Susegana train station. Took us to 2 really wonderful DCOG wineries and had a wonderful lunch at this great trattoria. It was raining slightly when we arrived at the station but the beauty of the Prosecco region just took our breath away. It is truly a beautiful place. The sun finally came out on our tour. Thank you Alessio for giving us the experience of a lifetime! We will surely go back to the Prosecco region again soon. This is a one of a kind experience. Thank you Jo for your great insights on Venice and the Prosecco region! The response of the guides were quick. Chris was awesome, unfortunately we did not get a chance to meet him. Hopefully we will get to meet him and see Alessio (our fantastic guide) again on our next trip and we will definitely stay for a couple of days and call on visitproseccoitaly on our next trip. Prosecco Italy tour is highly recommended!
We had an incredible experience tasting with Alessio, Giorgio, and Jennifer. The three wineries we visited had wonderful hosts who were knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. Our lunch stop was delicious. And, all the views were breath taking. I highly recommend. It was a major highlight of our trip!
Amazing Prosecco tour w Cris!
Thank you, Cristiano, for giving us one of our most memorable days in Italy! Cris was awesome — knew so much about the region, the wine, the history, and an all-around cool person to spend our time with. I asked to have lunch somewhere with a great view, and he took us to a restaurant with a panoramic view of the countryside. Unreal. The 3 wineries were amazing, and Cris was helpful with coordinating shipment of the wines back to USA. Thanks, Cris!!
Prosecco Italy Expert Jo Fitzsimons
Jo Fitzsimons is absolutely the “go to” expert for anyone planning a trip to the Prosecco Region of Italy. She provided very specific details to each and every question we asked and all her recommendations were spot on. Our day of wine tasting and the restaurant we had lunch in were all amazing recommendations from Jo. The day was nothing short of stunning! There is no doubt in our minds that our phenomenal time on the Prosecco Road started with all our correspondence with Jo before we even left home. Consult with her before you go. She is the best!
Tour Guide Oriana Chantal Balliana
We had a magical day on the Prosecco Road in large part due to our outstanding tour guide,
Oriana Chantal Balliana. Oriana is very knowledgeable not only about Prosecco but also the history of the area. She met us at the train station and whisked us away to three delightful wineries and a most delicious lunch. The day could not have been more perfect.
We recommend her highly and can not imagine someone else doing a better job.
Thank you Oriana!
A perfect day
Oriana was amazing from the moment we we’re enquiring and booking our Prosecco day. She was very quick to respond to our many questions and gave us some great tips for our stay in Venice where we were based.
Oriana gave us clear directions which made our train journey to Susegana easy and on our arrival Oriana was there to meet us. We were a group of 4 with the boys being very tall and the car was perfectly roomy to fit us all comfortably
We visited 3 wineries, all different but equally enjoyable. Oriana was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with her stories and information as we travelled through the area.
We highly recommend booking a Prosecco tour with the lovely Oriana.
John & Kerry/Mark & Angela
A tour with Oriana was everything and more than expected. She is very knowledgeable about all things Prosecco and her friendliness made our tour a delightful experience.
Great personal Prosecco tour
We were picked up at our hotel by Cristiano in a Mercedes minivan. The transportation was very comfortable. Cris arranged four wineries to visit. Each winery provided us with a personal tour and tasting. Cris also took us to a secluded farm to table restaurant for an amazing lunch and to picturesque sights in the DOCG hills all the while providing us with interesting historical information about the region. Totally worth the price considering that we avoided the hassle of renting a car, finding the wineries to visit, and making sure that I had a designated driver. Thank you Cris.
Half Day in Prosecco Hills with Cris
If you are considering spending some time in the Prosecco Hills, we emphatically recommend this private tour! Our driver Cris was phenomenal! We were extremely comfortable, safe, and secure. He selected the Marchiori and Marsuret wineries and we couldn’t have been happier. We left not only having savored some wonderful Proseccos from the region, but learning much more about the Prosecco region and how these wines are made. We drove the Conegliano and Valdobbladene region with its breathtaking vistas and made this one of the most memorable experiences of our trip thus far. Skip the tour companies, go with a private tour. Not only will you save money, but you will enjoy so much more!
Cris started off well by contacting me within hours of my initial request. He had several options for where to stop for tastings and lunch. He was very accommodating as our group size changed several times over the week.
He was on time for pickup and gave us a great explanation of the wine and region on the drive to the first stop. His itinerary was excellent and we saw three wineries that were all a little different. We stopped for lunch at a fantastic restaurant where everything was homemade. We ended the trip on a beautiful hillside to watch the sunset and enjoy the outdoors. Cris was effective at keeping the group on schedule without being pushy at all, which is not an easy task when it’s sunny and we’re tasting Prosecco!
I was able to pay by credit card at the car when Cris dropped us off at the end of the day.
Fantastic service, knowledge, and hospitality.
Unforgettable day in the Italian countryside
We booked Oriana for a 4 hour tour in early March with the intention of visiting two wineries and the Prosecco machine and had an absolutely wonderful time. Not only did we get to taste some amazing Prosecco, we learned a lot thanks to Oriana’s depth of knowledge about the history of the area. Oriana was incredibly friendly and a wonderful driver. Truly an unforgettable excursion and a must-do tour if you are in the Venice area.
A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE
My boyfriend and I loved our private tour, you cannot find a better tour on any other site for the price. Oriana was fun and super knowledgable about wine, she even went to a wine school! Each winery was unique and beautiful, and very different than the last. It’s more than just a tasting, they will take you on a tour of their facilities and explain their Prosecco-making process. Oriana also knows how to eat great food, she took us to a beautiful little countryside restaurant where we ate fresh meats and cheeses and of course more wine. We finished the tour happy, educated, and very buzzed! If you have a day to spend in the beautiful hills of Prosecco, I highly recommend taking this tour!!
Oriana was such a blessing to find and have as a tour guide. Her knowledge of the wineries and all the locals was such a delight for us. She showed us areas and places we would have never found on our own. She took the time to ensure we got to see the best that Prosecco has to offer. I believe a tour without her would have been subpar and not near as memorable. I look forward to coming back soon and learning more about the area she loves so much! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
Last week we booked with Cris who created the most amazing day for my partner and I! Neither of us knew much about Prosecco and I didn’t spend much time researching so Cris sorted the perfect relaxed plan out for our afternoon. He picked us up from the station right on time in a lovely new car and while driving to the first tasting gave us lots of interesting background information on the region and prosecco itself. We did two tastings on the afternoon leaving us with enough time to visit the prosecco vending machine in the vinyards and enjoy the views with a little extra prosecco – so lovely!! Cris showed us the super easy way to get our bottles shipped back to the UK which was at a really decent price and then he drove us to our hotel where we dropped our bags and then he even waiting for us and drove us back into town for dinner before saying good bye. Our experience in the Prosecco region was incredible, the accommodation, the prosecco tastings, the views, the food and the people all made it one of the best 24hrs which I would highly recommend!
Una bellissima giornata!!
We had the most incredible day touring the prosecco region with Oriana! She picked us up at the train station and took us on a wonderful tour of the region including stops at 3 wineries!! Her knowledge and guidance is incredible – we couldn’t have done it without her. Mille grazie ancora per una giornata indimenticabile!! Speriamo di tornare presto!!!
Prosecco was amazing and the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen. Oriana, our driver, was so sweet and kind. She stopped to let us take pictures at all the amazing spots and she got us to 3 wineries even though our trains were delayed. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone
Amazing Prosecco Tour…Would 100% Recommend
Oriana was so accommodating, conversational, and welcoming throughout our whole experience. We visited two wineries on a Sunday and both were amazing. I would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the region. We will definitely be back!
Truly Special Experience!
What a magical experience! I surprised my sister with this tour for her birthday. Oriana, our incredible driver and organizer, picked us up at the train station and we set off for the hills! She arranged for us to have tastings at 3 different vineyards and the whole experience was even better than I could have imagined. Oriana was an amazing guide and her love for the region really showed through. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, and I can’t wait to come back!
Best Tour Ever!
5 Stars Across the Board! So much knowledge, fun and beauty! Will go again! This is one tour you should NOT miss.
Unbelievable, fantastic weekend!
Visited for a birthday celebration and had one of the best weekends of our lives. Truly amazing experience made extra special by Christiano, our personal driver. Thank you from six very happy ladies.
Perfect day amongst the vines in Prosecco
Our first full day in Italy could not have been better spent than touring the wineries of Prosecco with Cris. From the moment we enquired, Cris instantly spent his time researching an planning our one day adventure in the picturesque Prosecco region. Everything was taken care of, from the convertible, multiple wine tastings with accompanying locally produced foods, to lunch in the cutest family run Osteria. All topped off with a walk through the vines to the Prosecco Vending Machine for a relax under the canopy of lush green vines. Thank you again Cris for all of your care and attention, humour and endless information about the region in which you grew up. Ciao Mark and Kristen Hansen from The Gold Coast Australia
We stayed in Conegliano and loved the town and the people. We were met at the airport in Venice by one of your drivers; Luca.
He was wonderful and offered to drive us to a grocery store close on the outskirts of Conegliano as it was Sunday and the local stores were closed. Luca did a great job finding our lodgings as it was located on a very narrow dead end street.
A few days later we hired Cris for a tour of Prosecco country. We toured three wineries; Marchiori, Nani Rizzi and Adami Adriana. The staff were relaxed and very knowledgeable. Cris let us decide what kind of lunch we wanted and we opted for an amazing lunch at a local trattoria. The food and views were spectacular. Cris also let us experience the Prosecco vending machine and we shared a small bottle while overlooking the foothills.
A surprise stop at an out of the way gelato shop ended a memorable and perfect day.
Fabulous! Easy to book. The driver was very polite and professional. I would definitely go back and use the same driver Aliesso.

Amazing day spent in Prosecco country with our guide and driver, Cris!
We were on the Prosecco wine road in early October. The weather was perfect, the area is beautiful and our driver, Cris, was wonderful! Our train was late but he was so gracious and gave us our full time plus. He was a great tour guide, as well as a wine guide. The day was definitely one of our highlights from the trip and we would love to visit again and bring our friends. A+ day. Thanks for the recommendation!!
A beautiful & delicious day
In October, my parents, my cousin and I toured the prosecco road with Orianna. We enjoyed our day and all the prosecco. It was fun and
Imformative and made me realize I wish we had decided to spend a few days in the area. The wineries we toured we delightful and the restaurant where we had lunch was beautiful. It was a great day.
We chose to have a private 6 hour tour to suite our timelines. Oriana picked us up at the train station and proceeded to inform and delight us with her wealth of information about Prosecco wine and the area. Even though it rained the whole day, we still enjoyed every moment. The restaurant that Oriana chose was excellent and we loved the truffle dishes. We also stopped at a couple of wool and silk outlet shops which made us late for our train. Luckily Oriana was able to get us to the next stop in time. Overall it was a great day.
Perfect Experience. Knowledgeable driver, excellent prosecco and beautiful views
Our driver was Cristiano. He was absolutely fantastic. He picked us up promptly and selected wonderful wineries that we never would have found ourselves. His car was well equipped and comfortable. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our prosecco tour was probably our favorite part of the trip. Highly recommend this experience.
An unforgettable day!
My 2 friends and I had a wonderful day with Oriana touring through the Prosecco hills. Right from the moment she picked us up we knew we were in for a great day.
The weather was so gorgeous that Oriana decided to change things up a little in a way that would bring us to a beautiful vineyard with a glass-fronted tasting room. We were able to soak up the beautiful landscape and the full sunshine while getting an in depth introduction of the land, vines and history of what we were drinking. The wineries that Oriana brought us to were a perfectly balanced mix between small, medium and a bit bigger and each offered a unique and personal touch. We learned so much and we tasted delicious and varied Prosecco at each stop. At lunch time we went to a wonderful restaurant run by friends of Oriana and we excitedly took advantage of it being white truffle season. Our lunch was spectacular and a special part of the experience. My friends and I each selected a couple bottles at each stop and it was very easy to have them packaged up and shipped home to the US. We ended our day at the train station armed with a couple extra bottles to be savored on the balcony of our next stop.
Oriana was a delight! Her knowledge of the area and her love of the land was palpable. We even crossed paths with her father and cousin over the course of the day. It goes to show how small of an area it really is and what a tight nit community the region is.
Fantastic day with Cris…
Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Prosecco area with Cris as our guide. While driving to the wineries, Cris gave us a thorough overview of the area and the unique characteristics of the wine produced there, even within a very short distance inside its’ boundaries. We also learned how Prosecco differs from Champagne and Cava.
We visited a nice variety of wineries and learned a great deal about the options available within the Prosecco line… options we unfortunately don’t have in the states. We also received a mini-course on what to look for when evaluating and tasting a wine. We had a delicious lunch at a small osteria and greatly enjoyed speaking with the owner(s). All of us purchased multiple bottles of Prosecco and eagerly await their arrival.
Thanks, Cris, for a wonderful visit. I give my highest recommendation for a tour with Visit Prosecco Italy.
Perfect Prosecco Afternoon
After nearly being drowned in the Acqua Alta yesterday, myself and my girlfriend couldn’t wait to get out of Venice and onto our afternoon of Prosecco and sight seeing. And we couldn’t be more pleased.
Oriana met us off the train and right away was filling us in on the local area and the history of Prosecco.
Not being able to make a choice as to which winery to go to or restaurant to eat at I asked for Oriana’s opinion and she was spot on both times.
Couldn’t have asked for a better guide or companion, would recommend in a heart beat and already trying to figure out when we can go again.
Thanks so much!
Dara & Isobel
Excellent and very informative!
We were met by Oriana at the train station and then then to three wineries, all fabulous and extremely professional. We felt very relaxed and well looked after and despite terrible weather we had a wonderful tour. I would highly recommend this trip to those visiting the area. Thanks to Oriana and the ladies in each of the wineries.
Great time with famiy
Oriana was awesome, had a fun day with her. The wineries we visited had very friendly staff.
Prosecco with the girls
We spent the weekend away to celebrate a friends 60th birthday. We were collected from a our hotel by Cris in a luxurious 8 seater car. We were sofa driven to 3 vine yards and stopped for the most divine meal in the Prosecco hills. Cris was an amazing host. He was polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. He selected the best vine yards for us to sample the finest Prosecco. Cris helped us to order bottles of Prosecco that have been delivered very quickly to the UK. The whole experience is highly recommended. It is one of the best weekends I have experienced.
We were a group of ladies visiting the Prosecco Region. We had the trip of a lifetime especially thanks to our Chauffeur.
The Prosecco region is beautiful, and Oriana opened many wonderful places/experiences to us.
We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary in the Prosecco region, and during our tour with Oriana, we visited three of the best local wineries for private tastings and thoughtful explanations of the many intricacies of making Prosecco. We experienced not just a beautiful place, but also what life is like for the people who live and work there. Over the course of a few hours we toured much of the western end of the region, tasted some fabulous Prosecco (yes, it is better than the Prosecco you can find at home), had a delightful lunch at a small and very local bar, learned the best place to experience the annual Chestnut Festival that was to open that evening. Oriana loves the region she has lived in most all of her life, and made us feel welcome and comfortable in her world. it was a great experience!
It was a amazing day and Christiano was a excellent guide who made a very special special birthday very memorable. Thank you worth every penny
5 star all the way
This was a major highlight of our holiday and we’re looking forward to exploring more of the prosecco region on our next visit. Grazie mille Cris for organising an unforgettable day☺
Fantastic scenery, expert tour guide, luscious wines, education & tastings. The prosecco vending machine was the grand finale!
We had a lovely time with Walter. He was friendly and tried his best to communicate with us, although English isn’t his first language. He came prepared with a return train schedule and water. We were so happy that he was able to locate specific wineries for us, especially on such short notice. You could do this tour on your own but having a driver who knows the area, the wineries and the logistics just makes the trip so much more enjoyable. Thank you again.
Stunning area and Prosecco
We hired Oriana. She picked us up at Coruda station & we travelled the Prosecco Rd to Valdobbiadene area. Visited La Tordera winery, a small newly renovated place. A delightful very knowledgable girl called Jasmine hosted our tastings of 3 Proseccos. The second winery , Col Vetoraz, a bigger venture and quite commercialised, charged 6 Euros to taste. The woman was OK, not as interested or interesting as Jasmyne. Beautiful proseccos though. Unfortunately we were under pressure from Oriana to hurry at the first winery & at the second as it was past their closing time then we didn’t go to anymore places. We were expecting to go to at least 3 or 4 wineries as advertised, but according to Oriana due to time, maybe siesta time? We finished our tour early so not sure why that happened.
Also we wanted to go to the stone hut near Col Veteraz for lunch, where you help yourself to meats, cheese etc and leave the money & get Prosecco from the vending machine. A bit of a novelty. Oriana convinced us that she had a better place run by her friends. It was not great, an enormous plate of meat, cheese & a few vegetables. Not good for our vegetarian member of the party. Plus, it was very expensive. Wouldn’t do that again.
The countryside was drop dead beautiful around Valdobbiadene & well worth a visit but it turned out to be very expensive for the car and driver, lunch, tasting costs for visiting just two wineries.
Reply from Jo at Visit Prosecco Italy
Hi Diane, thank you for taking the time to give your honest feedback. Both Oriana and I are so very sorry that your trip didn’t meet your expectations. I’ve been working with Oriana for well over a year and the glowing reviews below are typical of the feedback I receive both through this page and via email. I’ve looked over the booking and have spoken to Oriana and I’m leaving this reply to add a bit of clarity for the benefit of other readers. This is not intended to undermine your personal experience. All feedback is welcome and helps us do better.
- this website and the booking process, including my welcome email and emails with your driver are all clear that within 4 hours you can expect to visit 1-2 wineries. I’m sorry that you were under the impression that 3-4 wineries were included. Oriana did make it clear in her email that this would be possible with a 6-hour visit only.
- Likewise, my welcome email is clear that the wineries close during lunch. I have, however, taken the opportunity to include this information on the pricing page to be extra clear.
- I understand that Oriana suggested the lunch place because you were travelling with a vegetarian friend, which the stone hut/osteria does not cater for given it’s bread, meat and cheese only. The place she recommended accommodated your bread, meat and cheese lunch plans while also serving local vegetables at a cost of around €10 per person. Again, apologies that this suggestion didn’t turn out to be what you were looking for.
I’m truly sorry that your visit to the Prosecco region didn’t turn out to be the highlight you’d hoped it would be. If you are ever back in Italy, I invite you to email me and I’ll personally help you design an itinerary that I’m confident will exceed your expectations. Ultimately, that is my goal – to help people see the wonders of this part of the world and I hope you give the region a second try.
Queen of Prosecco
Oriana is the Queen of Prosecco! She met us at the train station as planned. On the way to the first winery she gave us a lot of history and facts about the prosecco region. The first stop was a small family run and owned winery. The prosecco and wine both along with food for tasting was fabulous! We learned a lot more about prosecco! We were able to ship from this winery and Oriana could bring bottles back from other wineries for shipment. We visited another winery before heading for lunch. We were able to eat outside in a very local restaurant. We had her choose items for tasting. All were delicious. A visit to the vending machine was next. To be honest, we asked to do this but knowing what I know know it was my least favorite stop of the day. There are multiple vending machines and many, many people. My fault for thinking this was an out of the way kind of place. We did vend a bottle and enjoyed the view. The last winery was much bigger with outstanding views. Oriana got us back to the train station and sadly our day was over. We were a group of 6 with ages ranging from 27-56 and everyone enjoyed it and ranked it highly. We would definitely recommend Oriana! Thank you, Oriana!!
Cris picked up from our hotel promptly and took us on the most wonderful afternoon trip. His knowledge and expertise with respect to Prosecco was simply outstanding and very enthusiastic.
Not only did he take us to a superb Winery (Adami) but the restaurant he took us to was also fantastic. Lovely food, spectacular views and home produced beer!!
Cris was the perfect host. I would not hesitate to use him.
A fabulous day away from the crowds, easily done from Venice
We booked an afternoon Prosecco tour with a local guide, Chris, who met us at the Conegliano train station for a wonderful afternoon, mostly in the DOCG. Chris was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. He pre-arranged tastings at two great wineries with both traditional ties and futuristic vision. It was a wonderful sunny day and the beauty of the area is spectacular. This afternoon was just what the doctor ordered after battling crowds in Rome and Venice. I hope it doesn’t really catch on because the serenity and personal attention was so satisfying. Although the wine making techniques are fully as modern as Nappa, the tasting scene is much less developed. We had time to visit the vending machine and relax further with a bottle of Valdobiadenne brut Prosecco and salami with tremendous views of the region — what a concept. Chris recommended we return from Colnago, so we could maximize our time near “Valdo” which was good advice and easy. The little country station was a good contrast to the giant urban train stations as well. We were staying in Venice and couldn’t come out until afternoon because of a morning conference. This worked and was one of my favorite days on our 10 day Italy trip. If you are staying in a nearby city like Venice, this is a great alternative activity. I would highly consider staying in the region because it’s that wonderful.
Tour was fantastic
The best wine tour I’ve ever done. Would highly recommend it to everyone. Oriana was a knowledgeable and fun guide. We couldn’t have been happier!
Cris organised a great day for us. The transport was excellent, comfortable and pleasant. The stops were just brilliant. From sipping prosecco and eating the grapes it is made from while taking in the amazing vista.
The winery tour including the explanation of the different processes was great.
From now on it is only DOCG.
Great Driver – and positively aim for harvest time (mid-late September)
What can I say other than THANK YOU!!!
We did a trip for my wife’s 40th and basically did exactly what you told us to do. IT WAS AWESOME. We went mid September – harvest time. Some people said not to go at that time because some winery’s do not have time to do tastings. But I would say aim for that date because the aromas as you pass vineyards being harvested manage to compete with the staggeringly breath-taking views.
I tried to book Oriana as our driver based on reviews on this website but she was not free. Instead she put me in touch with a colleague of hers (Christiano) who was nothing short of magnificent. He was friendly, knowledgeable and a very safe driver. What’s more he was a tremendously lovely bloke. He arranged a return trip for us the next day with Oriana so they work together. He turned up in a convertible and it was our good luck. While I was not bothered about a convertible before I am so glad we got it. Because we could see so much more of the view and we could smell the aromas. And hey – we looked cool with a handsome man driving us around. We stayed in Follina at the hotel Abbazia and ate at their restaurant. We were awoken by the tinkling water of the river and the beautiful bells of the local monastery. I could rave on and on but in summary:
Do go for harvest time
Get a convertible if you can
Don’t rush it – take 2 days on the tour
Use Christiano or Oriana to drive you around
Treat yourself to the hotel Abbazia and their restaurant.
Do go to the vending machine place. If not for the Prosecco but for the view. It is quite busy these days but you wouldn’t go to London and not visit Buck Palace!
Chill, relax and enjoy the scenery
We did 2 days in Venice after. Amazingly the Prosecco region made our time in Venice an anti-climax!!
If anyone has any questions I’d be happy to try answer them. I cannot stop raving about the place.
Thanks again. Nick and Louise.
Cris, Cris, Cris!
The tour was great; absolutely breathtaking views. But what’s a good tour, without a good tour guide? Cris was our tour guide and he was absolutely awesome. He was not only extremely knowledgeable, but was so comfortable and easy to talk to! Think my most favorite part was just sitting with Cris, talking to him, and learning more about the Italian culture 🙂 Don’t forget – when you’re in New York, hit us up. We will give you a food tour! 🙂
Outstanding & magical
We had the most extraordinary day visiting the Proseco region with Cris! From the moment he picked us up until he put us back on the train, we felt like we were with a wise & caring family member. Not only did he educate us about Proseco & the region, but also about history, every day living and so much more. We’ve been travelling Italy for the last 2 weeks & this tour & our time with Cris has definitely been one of our highlights! We will definitely be recommending to our Canadian friends & family. Processco Tour with Oriana
Hello, I just wanted to say what a wonderful tour this was. Oriana was our driver and we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful time. She spent so much time with us explaining all there was to know about the area. She was very helpful about where we should take the train how she was to pick up taking us to our hotel after and ensuring we got a taxi the next day. The tour itself was fabulous, every winery was beautiful and so accommodating. I order a case of wine to be sent home and it arrived with no problems right as promised. Once again thank you to Oriana, she was a beautiful lady and we enjoyed spending the day with her and your beautiful area!
The Queen of the Hills
Oriana is a great hostess. We had a very enjoyable tour, she is chatty and knowledgeable, and had organised every step. Relaxed day out, amazing wineries, with a fantastic lunch at Locanda da Lino to finish.
More than a driver
Oriana was due to collect us from a winery and take us to the station we had a different driver the day before (Christiano who was equally as fab).
Instead of just getting us to the station she took us a scenic route (she checked first and we were in no hurry at all – the longer you can stay in the region the better). She took us past a million photo op spots and even stopped at what would otherwise have been an anonymous church where we saw some amazing frescos. Would recommend her 100%. You get great local insight. It’s almost a side comment but her driving is lovely and safe too.
Such a great tour!!
We went on this tour for my birthday and it was such a great day! Oriana thought of everything and the places she took us to where lovely, especially the second vineyard which had an amazing view over the whole valley and the lunch was so great.
Would definitely recommend this to anyone!
Awesome Prosecco Tour
Oriana was our guide for the 4 hour tour and what a fantastic time we had. We visited 3 wineries and were able to see the wine harvesting during our visit. She was so informative and entertaining. A must do if you are in the area.
We will recommend anyone to be guided by Chris during a day. He took us to amazing places where we ate origin food, expereienced different Proseccos in different areas and had a wonderful day. In additional he was a talented guide who Speaks fluent english and a very comfortable and interesting person that we learned a lot from. This day was the best of our 5 days trip to Venice/Prosecco. Just do it!
Sofie & Sebastian
My family loved it!
Cris was our driver and we had a great time. He picked us up in a comfortable spacious van and drove us around the beautifully scenic prosecco region, we got to try many beautiful wines and a delicious lunch at a tucked away restaurant run by an old couple who grew all produce themselves. Overall great experience, highly recommended!
This was are favourite day. Oriana was wonderful, and knew exactly the type of wineries we were hoping to see. A good variety, and the restaurant was the best meal of our trip in Italy.
We did a 4h tour with Cris. We visited 2 wineries which both were amazing. The weather was also great and in the end we had some time to chill in the grape gardens. 10/10 would recommend this tour and looking forward to visit Proseccoland again!
BEST DAY EVER
Cris made our honeymoon feel oh, so special! We had such an amazing time and recommend that everyone spend at least a day exploring the Prosecco region of Italy. Thank you so much Cris for such a wonderful experience to help us start our new lives together. Ciao – Madelyn and Jakob
Relaxing and wonderful!
Our driver Cris took my family on a 5 hour tour where we visited 2 very different Prosecco wineries and learned a lot about the region! We had lunch at a beautiful restaurant overlooking vineyards. It was a great way to spend our last day in Italy and we got to take home plenty of wine to remember the trip! I would highly recommend this for groups because we were able to customize the day that we wanted, and everything was taken care of by Cris. The price of the tour and the price of the wines was also much more reasonable than anything else I have come across and everyone we met at the wineries was very informative and pleasant! 5/5 stars for Cris & the Visit Prosecco tours!
Best 50th birthday ever…
A huge thank you to Oriana and Cris for an amazing day out exploring the prosecco region and learning loads about bubbles. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate a big birthday. Oriana organised everything in advance for us, it was so easy and so relaxed. We were blown away by the hospitality and warm welcome received from Oriana and Cris when we arrived, we had so much fun laughing our way around the beautiful Italian country side sipping bubbles. We can’t wait to come and visit again.
Thank you so much Cris and Oriana ‘Queen of the hills’!
BEST TOUR AND GUIDE
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Oriana was a great guide… very informative and accommodating to everything we wanted to see and how long
we wanted to stay at each place. I love Prosecco so this was extra special for me to see the process, visit family owned wineries, and to try Prosecco that I won’t get to buy at home. I learned about what each type means and got to sample pretty much all of it.
Anyone who enjoys wine will appreciate this tour and guide. Highly recommend!!
What a fabulous tour! Our driver was prompt and most helpful. She was a wealth of information and so enthusiastic about the region. We would take the tour again and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for the personal touch.

Outstanding day of touring and sipping!
My wife and I booked with Cris for a daily tour of the prosecco region. Cris was the most professional, informative and helpful driver. He was outstanding and we very much appreciate his communication, guidance and recommendations. We would recommend him to anyone wanting a relaxed, loose day of driving around one of the most beautiful places in Italy. Well done!
Amazing Experience with Oriana!
My wife and I found this site after we heard the Prosecco region was only an hour from Venice. Venice was the last leg of our 3-week honeymoon, and my wife absolutely loves Prosecco! We scheduled a tour of 3 vineyards + lunch for the last full day of the trip, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Oriana, our driver, told us the exact trains we should get from Venice and to return, and communication was excellent. She gave us a nice history of the region on the way to the first vineyard, and had personalized tastings setup at each of the three stops. She took us to this really small, family restaurant for lunch that was so personal we felt like we were in my grandmother’s kitchen! The food was fresh and straight from their garden, and you could tell it was made with love!
Additionally, if you are wondering about how you can get some of this amazing Prosecco home, they have that process solved, too! We picked as many bottles as we wanted from each vineyard (multiples of 6 in total preferred), and Oriana scheduled a pickup/shipment service from the last vineyard. Our Prosecco arrived safely in the US in exactly two weeks!
If for some reason you are still considering saying “no” to this opportunity, you should think about going for the views alone! The abundance of vineyards in the area make for some amazing views and pictures, as you can see!
Cris was absolutely amazing! First, he was so helpful with all of our luggage and which we were so thankful for. Second, he was great at navigating yet also making us laugh at all times. He showed us the beautiful countryside of Prosecco which is hard to put into words. The rolling hills, the beautiful colors of green, the history, etc. was magical. Cris was a safe, fun, kind, and hilarious driver who has become a dear friend! We all hope to see him again one day, sooner than later!
Our fabulous hen party trip
Where do I start!
From the very first communication, it was understood what was wanted and a perfect package designed for our needs and at such a reasonable cost.
Nothing was too much and on the day of the tour, it did not disappoint.
Every member of the party commented on how friendly, knowledgeable, and warm our hosts were.
The day was just perfect and we will definitely be back.
Thanks so much again!
Such an amazing day!
Our prosecco road tour day was unbelievable! I can’t say enough good things about Oriana and the wineries we visited. Definitely an experience that I would recommend to anyone that is interested in learning more about and tasting all kinds of amazing prosecco.
An absolutely wonderful experience
Cris’s knowledge of the region and wonderful personality combined for a great experience.
Sip sip horray!
As a group of 6 friends in Treviso for the weekend, we hired Cris as our Prosecco driver for a Sunday morning trip around the region. We booked very last minute just a few days before and couldn’t believe our luck. I couldn’t rate Cris or the company highly enough… everything ran on time.. we visited two completely different wineries (one family-run with a real traditional feel and one more modern), sampled some fantastic local cheese/biscotti and, of course, Prosecco! There was ample time for tastings, we got great background info from both Cris and the wineries themselves and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We even had time for a visit to the Prosecco vending machines, so take some euros and treat yourself to the tiramisu and a bottle (plastic cups provided) and enjoy the fantastic views!
I’d recommend Cris and this company to anyone visiting the area, it was worth every euro!
A perfect way to spend the day…
I cannot recommend highly enough booking with Visit Prosecco to tour the beautiful Valdobbiadene wine region with a wonderful, knowledgeable guide/driver (Hi Roberta!) to enjoy the wine, the food and the beautiful scenery.
From start to finish, Jo and Roberta were great to work with and made booking and planning the tour simple and easy and I appreciated their recommendation for how long we would need to do everything we wanted. Roberta picked us up from the cruise terminal in Venice and on the way to the first winery suggested stopping for an espresso at an amazing coffee bar with wonderful pastries and treats so if she suggests it to you – say “yes please!!”.
The two wineries we visited (La Tordera & Col Vetoraz) were beautiful, the wines were wonderful and they taught us a lot about the region and the different styles of Prosecco and were very generous with their tasting pours. Roberta also shared her knowledge about the wines and answered all of our questions so we felt like we really got to know a lot about Prosecco and the region. Treat yourself to a bottle of DOCG Superiore di Cartizze – I promise you will not regret it – and the price is so reasonable compared to what you pay back at home just for basic DOC Prosecco.
Lunch at a small Osteria on the hillside with a wonderful view and fantastic food was a great break between the two wineries and you have to try a bottle of Col Fondo Prosecco made the old fashioned way with the yeast sediment still in the bottom of the bottle. We tried a cloudy glass with the sediment mixed in, then a clear glass when it settled and they were very different, but both very delicious!
For the wonderful immersive experience you get with a passionate, knowledgeable guide taking you to excellent wineries and restaurants, the cost was very reasonable and great value in my opinion. We looked at just hiring a private driver who would have been about 50% more expensive and all you would get is a driver, not an expert guide who knows the best places to visit and will make sure you have an experience to remember for the rest of your life.
After a stop for the mandatory daily gelato, Roberta dropped us off at our hotel near the airport (which also saved us paying for a transfer from the cruise terminal) and we couldn’t have found a better way to spend our last day in Italy before heading home. It really was an experience you will remember forever so thank you Roberta (and Jo) for giving it to us!
Vivian, Mark, Ingrid & Danielle
Age 64 years , Australian couple, fit for travel . June 2018.
We hired Oreana as our private driver for a day to tour the Prosecco Road region.
It was a wild weather day – we had the region to ourselves.
Oreana took us to a few excellent wine houses and a family operated lunch bar.
The region is full of family sized vineyards so the proprietors are very friendly and brand conscious of their product being sampled in the best possible fashion.
The drivers’ hotel resort recommendation was perfect for us- quiet, just out of the town, high on a hill and had a very focused kitchen putting out interesting foods.
torneremo … grazie
What a great day! Staying in Venice and took the train in easily. Oriana picked us up and we were off. Theee beautiful and delicious wineries and we learned so much. Even on a Sunday we were able to experience the area and people. We had a great time even the kids said this was a highlight of the trip because it was so beautiful. Our lunch was like we were at our family home, it was fantastic. Thanks so much for this recommendation I’m so glad we decided to venture out!!!!
A relaxing and interesting opportunity for (sparkling) wine people
We toured Prosecco region during June, visiting several very nice wineries. We’ve enjoyed Napa/Sonoma a number of times but we really enjoyed how low-key this area was. Its an easy train ride from Venice. We realized quickly that most of the Prosecco we are exposed to in the US is the more mediocre sparkling. If you enjoy sparkling wine and good food, put this on your itinerary.
A Perfect 10 Prosecco Tour with Roberta
My group of seven ladies (flight attendants with their daughters and friends) had the most spectacular day of touring the prosecco region; organized by the wonderful Roberta (our driver, guide and host).
Roberta picked us up at our hotel in Venice and so began our fantastic prosecco adventure. On our way, we stopped for cappuccinos and breakfast pastries at the most splendid bakery; the likes of which I thought only could exist in dreams. It was the perfect way to kick off the day. Our next stop was at the first of three wineries, where to our delight not only did we have a lovely selection of prosecco to taste, but snack sized food pairings to go along with it. We felt more like guests in someone’s home than tourists. Delightful to say the least. We stopped for a photo op along the way to winery number two. The second winery was a larger operation, where we had a tasting with the backdrop of overwhelmingly beautiful panoramic views.
As we drove between stops, Roberta gave us a bit of a history lesson on the region, etc. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind and generous. Our next stop was a charming restaurant in the hills, where we indulged in a leisurely lunch of scrumptious dishes. The final stop of the day was at a soon to be organic certified winery producing Cartizze DOCG Prosecco. The proprietor gave us a 45 min in-depth prosecco tasting and lesson. By this point of the day, we’d all picked up a bit of prosecco vocabulary, which helped us to be extra engaged students. It was the perfect way to wrap up our wonderfully educational, enjoyable and joyful day of touring.
Roberta planned the perfect itinerary and picked a selection of wineries that each offered something unique in experience. Everyone in my group raved about the tour. Roberta is simply fantastic!!
Had a super day, couldn’t be better
The personalised service and the knowledge of our driver, Kris, was exceptional. We had a fabulous day. The first winery was superb. We loved the wines and the tour and the tasting! The second had splendid views. Lunch was also a highlight. All in all a splendid and brilliant day.
Best Day of Our Trip
My husband and I were spending time in Venice for our honeymoon, and we decided to spend a day in the Prosecco region. The last thing I wanted was to spend hundreds of dollars for a cookie-cutter tour at a commercial winery, flooded with other tourists. I found this site, and I’ll be honest, the lack of reviews made me a little nervous. However, the reviews are only minimal because this is a fairly new operation, and rest assured, it has NOTHING to do with the quality of the experience. We spent 4 hours with Cris and it was by far, our favorite day of our entire trip. From the moment we began corresponding with Cris via email, he was nothing but friendly and professional. Our tour began the second we got in the car, as Cris shared with us information about the Prosecco region. We visited two wineries where we were greeted with a private tasting of some of the best wines we have ever tasted (proof – we couldn’t help but ship 6 bottles home, and we wish we’d shipped more). At the first winery, we were actually given a tour of the facility by one of the owners. Our day ended with an amazing, delicious, authentic lunch at a restaurant completely hidden from tourists, the owners, who were the ones taking care of us, didn’t speak a word of English, and obviously it was the best meal we ate during our entire stay in Italy. The region was beautiful and a much-needed break from the busy, crowded streets of Venice. We could not recommend this experience enough. It was a great value and an excellent experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Cris!
Our driver Cris was AWESOME!!!!!
I am a huge fan of Prosecco and all my husband and I wanted for our honeymoon was a driver to take us from vineyard to vineyard for tastings. Well our driver Cris was absolutely incredible to work with. He went above and beyond! Even before we arrived in Italy he was in constant communication via email and really tailored our tour to our likes. For example I wanted to see the Prosecco vending machines on the side of the road and he remembered to make a stop to include that. Since the weather was nice he even offered an upgrade in transportation by using his bmw convertible to travel the country side! Cris has built wonderful relationships with the different vineyard owners which made for a more personal experience. We would highly recommend Cris to any of our friends and family knowing that they would be in great hands!
Traveler and Wine Lover
My sister and I had a Prosecco tasting tour with Cris at the end of June. What a wonderful experience! Cris was very easy to correspond with and was able to work with us even though we wanted to taste on a Sunday. He gave us all of the necessary information needed for the train and meeting up with him, as well as getting back to Venice. We loved the 3 wineries he took us to as well as Osteria Senz’Oste where we got to enjoy bread, meat, cheese and Prosecco from the vending machine 🙂
Cris was very polite, interesting to talk to, shared many details about the history, wine and the region, and he truly went above and beyond for us. It seemed like he had a personal connection with the people at the wineries which was really nice.
We would recommend working with him for a tasting anytime!
We also had the opportunity to meet Oriana because our tours intersected. She was a lot of fun as well and the girls on her trip were having a ball.
A side note: While my sister and I loved the personal feel of our own driver, we would have been fine meeting up with a few people to prolong the trip while sharing the cost. The whole trip was amazing but I think we had the most fun when tasting with the 3 girls that were with Oriana. If it’s possible to offer putting small groups together I highly recommend it for the experience and to offset the cost a bit.
Overall, this was an unforgettable experience! I have tasted wine in Burgundy, Bordeaux, Chablis, Tuscany and the Languedoc, and this tour was fantastic! Cris was an excellent driver and guide, with lots of information.
Thanks, Cris! Next time I come to Venice I definitely want to do this again!
Just do it!
What can I say … just do it!
I was visiting Treviso recently with five friends, and we booked a prosecco tour with Visit Prosecco. Cris was our driver and he was great; friendly, informative, and fun. And his English was excellent (which was important for us as none of us could speak Italian).
We all really enjoyed the tour and would be happy to recommend it to any other wine lovers visiting the region.
Highlight of our trip!
My boyfriend and I had 4 nights in Venice and kept being told prior to leaving on our trip that was more than enough time. I love prosecco so was really excited to realize we were so close to prosecco region of Italy.
Our day with Oriana was an amazing time and truly a highlight of the trip! She picked us up from the train station and did such an amazing job explaining and entertaining us as we drove throughout the prosecco road. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, we first went to this winery Borgoluce which had fantastic prosecco and just as delicious buffalo mozzarella. (if we could have shipped back the buffalo mozzarella we would have it was SOO good!). Then went to this amazing winery Adami followed up by lunch at this small family run Italian osteria (so authentic that they didn’t speak English so Oriana graciously helped assist with translation) Food at lunch was our top 2 meals in all of Italy, simple traditional and scrumptious food! (highly recommend the potatoes!) We wrapped it up with our final winery with panoramic views Col Vetoraz. We ordered and received prosecco from all 3 wineries! Will definitely be ordering more prosecco in the future from all 3 places and next time we are in Italy will be doing a tour with Oriana, she was such an an amazing personality! She even gave us a recommendation for a hidden gem for us to see when we went back to Venice, Scala Contarini del Bovolo, a spiral staircase that is hidden away in the middle of Venice. Such an amazing sight, which we wouldn’t have even known about without her advice!
Thank you Oriana for such a great time!
Totally worth it!
Cris picked us up from the train station in an adorable BMW comfortable, and along the way shared with us an overview of the region. It was a beautiful, slow drive along the hillsides and up into the “Proseccoshire” where we had a wine tasting, learning about the variances in wine sweetness and regional processes. The personalized experience added to the amazing scenary to create a once in a lifetime experience.
I highly recommend Cris as we felt safe and well-informed throughout the time we spent with him.
Best Afternoon of our Entire European Trip!
We were greeted at the very quaint train station in Spresiano by Cris, our tour guide. We were very excited to be touring without a big group! Just myself, my partner and Cris. Perfect! Cris was delightfully informative and we were able to visit two Prosecco wineries. We were given a tour and tasting at Malibran Winery and learned so much about the Prosecco region and the wine itself! Of course it was delicious! We then proceeded up into the hills and vineyards to the ‘Inn with No Innkeeper’ for some lunch. Words cannot describe this truly remarkable experience. For us, it was everything we had hoped for in Italy. Yummy bread, cheese, wine and sitting atop a hillside of vineyards with a rickety table and chairs, and breathtaking view! So memorable.
We then headed towards the family owned and operated Prosecco winery of NaniRizzi. Completely different experience and also incredibly charming and one could feel the family love for their business. And, of course the wine was delicious!
Cris delivered us back to a train station and we departed wanting more of the beautiful Prosecco region (and Cris)!
Thank you so much. Highly recommend!
Amazing day of tastings!
My boyfriend and I are major prosecco connoisseurs and were thrilled to spend a beautiful day wine tasting in the Valdobbiadene region. Chris was an excellent guide – he made the booking process easy, gave perfect train directions, was waiting for us when we arrived, shared plenty of knowledge and took us to all the right places. We absolutely loved the hidden gems he showed us, especially the osteria with its own prosecco vending machine and Nani Rizzi, our new favorite prosecco! I’d 100% recommend booking Chris for anyone who is looking to have a fun-filled and memorable day!
An amazing tour of the Prosecco region
We spent a wonderful 4 hours in the Prosecco region with Cristiano, our driver, who was very knowledgeable about the area. He took us along a very beautiful route, passing acres of vines and countryside. He knew so much about each village, and told us lots of very interesting facts. When we reached our destination, which was at the top of a very steep mountain, we had a wonderful lunch of cheese, meat, bread and of course Prosecco, from L’Osteria Senza Oste – this place was absolutely incredible, and we will never forget our experience there! Cristiano stayed with us, telling us the history of the vineyard and the winery nearby, where we enjoyed hearing about the production of the wine and had some tastings of their delicious Prosecco. It was a fantastic day, made all the more enjoyable by Cristiano’s helpfulness and willingness to share his knowledge of the region. He was able to answer all our questions and gave us a day to remember – thank you, Cristiano!
Excellent Day in Prosecco Country
Six of us have a week in Venice in May each year. This was the first year that we took a trip out of the city. We arranged a visit to the prosecco region.
We took the train to Mestre and were met by Cris in a very smart and comfortable Mercedes people carrier. Cris was an excellent host – friendly, knowledgeable and speaking excellent English. We went to two wineries – Col Vetoraz and Nana Rizzi. We could have managed a third, but a good lunch was more appealing. The two we visited were quite different – Col Vetoraz has a very smart visitor centre; Nana Rizzi was more focussed on production, although it will build a centre. Both offered a full range of excellent prosecco – from brut to semi sweet – and were generous in their tastings.. The view from Col Vetoraz was superb.
We dined at the Trattoria de Angelina, a place for those living in the area, rather than visitors – very simple place, but the food was sublime. And the service very welcoming. Cris ate with us, so the conversation flowed with the staff.
Afterwards, we were driven to Conegliano for the train back to Venice – a pleasant town, worth a hour or two exploring.
And very enjoyable and comfortable day with a first class host. Recommended
If you have an extra day in Venice, you MUST visit Prosecco. We had 3 days in Venice and understood the crowds/tourism can be overwhelming. That is when I discovered Jo’s website and how much she recommended visiting Prosecco- and I’m so glad she did!!! First of all, the town is absolutely breathtaking- something out of a movie… but most of all, our tour guide/driver Cris made it that much more special. Communication with him was seamless- he practically planned our entire itinerary. He was so knowledgeable about the town as well as the history of Prosecco and the wineries we visited. I highly recommend visiting Marchiori first, and then Col Vetoraz afterward (the views!!!). We took a 3 hour tour and found it to be enough time. But more time would be wonderful as well. Again, I highly recommend booking a tour through this website with one of their wonderful drivers. It made our trip so special and I really trusted Cris. Highly recommend!!!
My family and I just returned from our two week vacation in Italy. One of the highlights of our trip was a visit to the wineries along Prosecco Road with Oriana. She picked us up from the train station and took us to three different wineries. Two were small family owned wineries, where we had our own private tasting of wine (and tasty local food) with tour guides who were very informative. The third winery was larger with terrific views! We ended up buying several bottles from each winery to take home with us. Oriana planned such a wonderful experience for us that we will never forget! She is very friendly and we enjoyed her company. I highly recommend taking a tour with her! You won’t regret it!
We had an amazing day tour in the Prosecco region. Our driver/guide, Roberta, was excellent. Great to find out more about the grape and the process of making the wine and the tastings were fun.
This tour is just what we were looking for on that day. Carefree and easy. Roberta picked us up from our cruise ship and quickly took us to the wine country. There we had a private wine tasting at a beautiful winery. The experience was fantastic. Then we moved on through the countryside and stopped at an Off The Beaten Path place with a very nice little restaurant with excellent food. The flowers there are very beautiful. Roberta is a great ambassador for these tours. Informative, very personable and great to be around. She finished the day with a small cruise through the countryside and dropping us off at our airport hotel for our flights in the morning. The experience and value of this tour far exceeds its cost. You need to come over and GET SOME OF THIS………..Richard and Susan Yeatts…..Texas
We has a great time learning about Prosecco, tasting Prosecco and visiting the Prosecco wineries! Our Visit Prosecco tour was the perfect day!
Magical Prosecco Tour with Oriana
My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Oriana touring the Prosecco Road.
Throughout the scenic drive, Oriana shared the history of the region and the process of winemaking. Our first stop we met Anna, we ate meats, cheeses, apricots, jams and bread and of course tasted the delicious Prosecco. We never felt rushed as Anna shared her family’s history of winemaking. Through winding roads, beautiful vistas and quaint villages we visited our second winery. The grounds and facility were breathtaking and the DOCG Prosecco spectacular.
Afterward Oriana took us to a restaurant with a hilltop view and delicious meal.
She returned us to the train stop and we felt as though we were saying goodbye to a friend.
Oriana is a lively local who knows the area, is loaded with personality and made our visit to the Prosecco Region even more than we had hoped it would be.
Thank you Oriana.

We so enjoyed our time with Oriana. She is a very good driver and knows the secrets of the Prosecco region. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to explore the area.
We so enjoyed our time with Oriana. She is a very good driver and knows the secrets of the Prosecco region. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to explore the area. Oriana gave us specific details on the train route from Venice and she met us at the station. From there she drove us around the DOCG Prosecco area which is beautiful. We enjoyed some wine tasting and a wonderful lunch. We had a great day and will do it again when we return!
Highlight of our Vacation!
As the title says, this trip was the highlight of our Italian vacation. Corresponding with Oriana and planning everything ahead of the trip was very straightforward, she let us know where and when to meet and the rest was in her hands. The wineries she chose were amazing. We started the tour with a winery that gave us a complete overview of the region, how Prosecco is made, what all the different grape types are, and what the ratings mean. From there we went to two more wineries, the latter was on the foothills overlooking the region, giving a view that you have to see to believe. “Top 3 if not Top 1” on our all-time official vista list.
We can not thank Oriana enough for being so welcoming and taking us around the area. Initially we were on the fence about doing the tour ourselves by renting a car, but with how awesome Oriana was knowing the best places to go I can say we made the right decision. A+ for Oriana as a host, A+ wineries and views, and A+ Prosecco!
we booked Oriana for a tour, taking in a few vineyards. she met us on time at the train station.
she was fantastic, very knowledgeable and informative.
it was just like meeting an old friend. the tour was great, we would very deffinatly reccomend to everyone. we had a great time. thank you

Thanks so much for your information regarding a day visiting Prosecco Road. We met Roberta our driver at the station and we had such an incredible day. A day we will never forget. We visited small family run vineyards and finished with the most amazing vineyard. Roberta was incredibly knowledgeable. Roberta recommended a a local restaurant for lunch which was superb as was a visit to their incredible cellar. The day was filled Beautiful scenery, food and wine and only bring an hour from Venice was a plus. We could not have done this without our driver or the info on this great blog.
Booked a prosecco your trip with Oriana for 4 people. We had a great time with Oriana from the moment she met us at the train station! She was so accommodating and knowledgable. You can tell how much she loves her job! Oriana gave us various info throughout our drive up the hills. We stopped at two different vineyards for tasting and also a tour of one of them to see production etc. Both were great. We then visited a lovely little place for lunch where the food was beautiful and the tiramisu exquisite! Oriana was even kind enough to wait for us whilst we visited the famous prosecco vending machine! I would highly recommend this trip and I will certainly do it again when I come back! Thank you X
wonderful hospitality – beautiful wine and people and countryside
I spent a month in Venice in Oct/Nov 2017 and finished up with a week cruising the Veneto. I booked a trip with Oriana having seen the write up on Indiana Jo and wasn’t disappointed. Two wonderful vineyards – both very different (there could have been more but I was enjoying the wines too much). I also stayed at a fantastic AirBnB in a little town just out of Conegliano called Falze di Piave. The place I stayed was Casa Stella, Via Belvedere, 55, Falzé di Piave. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and invited me in to their home for a glass of Prosecco and cheese and nibbles and a chat and then also brought me a bottle of Prosecco to my rooms to welcome me to the area. The nicest people. Would have loved to stay longer.
Tip from Visit Prosecco Italy: if you are new to Airbnb you can get up to £25 off your first booking by clicking on Aibnb here.
We had the pleasure of sending half a day with Oriana in early April 2018.
Oriana was knowledgeable, professional and a ton of fun! Spending time with Oriana on Procsesso Trail was highlight of our trip to Italy. We cant wait to come back to see Oriana and explore more of the trail.
Best day ever
We spent 5 days in Venice for our honeymoon, our trip to the Prosecco region was definitely our best day! Oriana was amazing and she took us to 3 beautiful wineries. I was so excited to visit the Prosecco vending machine and it was even better than I had hoped! I am so glad I stumbled across this blog by chance. Thank you so much for an incredible day!
Best tour in Italy!!!
We had the pleasure of exploring Prosecco Trail with Oriana in Early April 2018. She was not only very knowledgeable about the area, but so much fun. Her Infectious personality made our time in the Prosecco area, the highlight of our time in Italy.
We visited 2 wineries and stopped for lunch at a place owned by a local. The wineries we visited were, Marchiori and Col Vetoraz.
Marchiori was very educational and of course the Prosecco was fantastic . The view from Col Vetoraz is breathtaking, don’t pass on making the small hike to the wine vending machine! Our group tasted their Grappa-whew!!! An experience in its self, don’t miss out.
We will defiantly be back to explore the other vineyards and to meet more of the locals. We would not even think of making the trip without reserving Oriana to continue our journey thru Prosecco Country!
Thank you again Oriana, for sharing your time and knowledge with the 4 of us from North Carolina.
We have just set a booking with Roberta for May 24th 2018. From what I have gathered, looks to be a joyful afternoon. To be continued.
Highlight of our trip!
Oriana was fantastic – knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. She took us to two wonderful places, each completely different, and a beautiful spot for lunch. If you’re not a Prosecco fan when you start, you will be by the end! Thank you Oriana.
Oriana is the best!
My husband and I just returned from Italy. On advice from a friend, we booked a night in Castel Brando and an afternoon Prosecco Tour with Oriana. I’m so glad that we did this. It was really a highlight of our trip! Oriana is so lovely. She picked us up from the Castel. She remembered my friend who booked with her months before and I even called my friend and we all talked in the car. Oriana took us to 3 wineries. There were all private tastings. The first was with the owner of the winery herself. It was such a treat to have such personal service, I can’t recommend Oriana highly enough. My husband doesn’t even like Prosecco and yet he came away from it falling in love with it and the region.
We paid 200euros for the 4 hour trip and it was the perfect amount of time. It’s such a great value.
I have just finished booking next years holiday and yes… having another tour with her
Hi, We saw your post last year and my son did his homework and booked Oriana in June, she is the Queen of the Prosecco region. She is amazing, she took 3 of us to 3 wineries, we had the best ever lunch and she kept us entertained with her knowledge and stories. We enjoyed it so much we paid another visit a few weeks ago, going back to our favourite.. same as your pic Col Vetoraz but went to 2 different ones. I have just finished booking next years holiday and yes… having another tour with her. I cant rate her highly enough. Got some lovely pics. It may seem expensive but how much do you pay to get into museums and galleries. See you next year Oriana Carol Jameson

It was a “calgon take me away day”

Paris is next and we are reserved for a fun 2CV car tour in reims and champagne bliss ride on the seine. then to Amsterdam.
after reading your site some travelers from different forums have asked and I forwarded your site to them to read up. one thing about oriana, she was always prompt getting back with emails and what she had available, I’m so glad we reserved her a few months ago and the tour is right at harvest time. thanks jo

I did email oriana and reserved a day with her september19 for prosecco tour. It was fabulous and she is the prosecco queen! There were 4 ladies from san francisco area, took the train to susegana and met by her. Drove thru the small towns, villages and gorgeous countryside. She was very informative and funny since she is a native of this area. The tastings were great, stopped and had lunch that was so good. Was able to stop and take pictures along the way. After our long day of touring and tasting she dropped us back off at train station. With our 3 bottles of prosecco we bought, came back to our fabulous apartment in venice (cannareggio area) and celebrated more with the fizz
Thanks for your article and i will put it out there if anyone interested with getting away from some of the maddening crowds and chaos that can happen there. It was a “calgon take me away day”

I love prosecco but didn’t want to spend a fortune on a tour!
I’m so glad I found your post about Oriana – we’ll be taking her tour in September. I love prosecco but didn’t want to spend a fortune on a tour!

Personalized our tour to fit our needs
Thanks for all your tips! My husband and I are so happy we made it to the land of prosecco this April 🙂 Through your blog, we hired Oriana and she was the best. She personalized our tour to fit our needs, spend hours with us (and never made us feel rushed), and showed us local spots we would never have found on our own. She was much more than a driver and instead felt like a friend. Highly recommend. The Best Western was great too! All in all a wonderful experience. I hope to go back one day!
