Things to know

Wine tastings and lunch are not included in our tours. Why? To give you full choice on how many wines to taste (3-7 glasses per winery), whether to include food pairings, and for the full day tour, a choice of a relaxed or quick lunch.

Meeting point: our tours depart from within the Prosecco region, one hour away by train from Venice. Your driver will tell you which train to catch from Venice and will meet you at the local train station or your hotel if you are staying in the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene area.

Venice transfer: you can add this to your booking. The cost is around €250 return (compared to €12 return for the train).

Additional Info

  • We charge per group up to 8 people. There are no minimum numbers for this tour to run.
  • Different drivers have different vehicle sizes ranging from 5-8 people. If you are more than 5-6 people, please get in contact to book so we can make sure we have a vehicle big enough for your group.
  • We can take large group bookings of +8 people. Please contact us to arrange.
  • With the exception of extreme weather, we run this tour even if it rains.
  • Flat footwear is recommended for walking in the vineyards and wine production areas.
  • We allow children on the tour with no minimum age (contact us before you book to ensure we have the correct vehicle/seat options).
  • No alcohol will be served to customers under 18 years of age.
  • Prosecco tours are run in Italy (a relaxed country with high tourism levels) and in working vineyards. Therefore some sightseeing is subject to availability on the day e.g. Prosecco vending machine, a walk in the vineyards.
  • Due to wineries closing for lunch, the Half Day AM tour includes one hour less time at the wineries.

Changes due to Coronavirus

Like many travel services, we have made some changes to our services to keep you safe and give you confidence to book your trip. Here’s what’s changed:

Cancellations policy for tours in 2020

We have amended our cancellation policy to offer more flexibility during the Coronavirus pandemic.

You only need to pay a 20% deposit to secure your booking.

You can amend your booking date without charge at any time up to the day before your tour.

Your deposit can be used towards a future booking and is valid for 2 years from the date of your original tour.

Deposit is not refundable.

We will keep this policy under review and add more flexibility as the pandemic continues.

Safety measures

We are doing everything possible to keep you safe and free from Covid-19 .

Italy, like many countries, has a new set of strict rules designed to keep visitors (and locals) safe. We’ve implemented them as well as several of our own because there’s no such thing as being too careful. Here’s what we are doing:

  • Private tours only: As always, all our tours are private so you will only tour with your own group.
  • Private wine tastings for your group – All wine tastings will be private for your group at each vineyard – we like to do this anyway where we can, but during Coronavirus, we will specifically arrange vineyards to ensure only your group is at each tasting.
  • Maximum 4 people per van (extra vans available) – We are limiting tours to 4 people per van – that gives enough space for maintaining safe distance. If you are a group of more than 4 people, we can arrange a second van (at a large discount) so your party can still travel together on the same day.
  • Lunches at ‘safe’ spots – Lunches will be pre-arranged at restaurants that comply with safety and distancing rules (so you don’t have to worry about it).
  • Masks worn by drivers and available for visitors – Drivers will wear a mask and we have extra masks available for you if you forgot yours.
  • Van cleaning – Each van is thoroughly cleaned after each use using a state-mandated cleaning process.
  • Hand sanitiser – is available in each van. Feel free to bathe in it but we have plenty of Prosecco so there is no need to drink it.

There are more details about Coronavirus safety requirement in our FAQs.

+4 people per van – 50% discount for groups

Due to safe distance requirements and Italian law, we can currently only take a maximum of 4 people per van. We know that many of you travel in larger groups and the good news is that because we are experienced in taking larger private groups, we are able to offer a second (or 3rd or 4th!) van for your group. Even better news: we’re offering additional vans at 50% off the usual price.

For full day tours, your additional vans cost €200 for up to 4 people.

For half day tours, your additional vans cost €125 for up to 4 people.

Please get in contact with us if you want to book more than one van so we can make the arrangements for you.
