We had the most lovely tour in the heart of the region where prosecco is made. Our driver and guide Oriana was very good about communicating to us what to expect, where to arrive, and any potential travel delays. We took a regional commuter train from Treviso to Susegana to meet Oriana, which is very easy to do. She is from the region and was able to provide a lot of indepth knowledge of the villages/communes in the area. We went to two wineries and a restaurant during our 4-5 hr tour. The tastings were delcious and the wine makers do a wonderful job of explaining how their products are made and why they’re special. We ate lunch of local charcuterie at a restaurant on the hill of Cartizze.
We can’t wait to return to the area and stay in Conegliano or Valdobbiadene and tour again.
